Reason = I.Q.

I found an email from the old mailing list in June 2000 discussing Reason and I.Q. from Alan Day. Here is what he wrote:

Benchmarks
FB - retarded, completely non-functional
PR - slow learner, but can be functional
TY - "normal," 'C' student
GD - smart, typical 'A' student
EX - very bright, usually not challenged by TY education
RM - extemely intelligent, TY education all but impossible, highest level of normal range, beyond this people tend to be too brilliant to interact with normal people
IN - typical genius level, very difficult to relate to normal people
AM - super-genius, if they are understandable by normals it's a minor miracle

Rank - I.Q. score
FB - less than 70
PR - 70-89
TY - 90-119
GD - 120-139
EX - 140-159
RM - 160-179
IN - 180-219
AM - 220+

Anything over AM is beyond the limits of human psyche and any attempt to describe them with such a feeble human device as an IQ chart is an exercise in futility.
