Group Affiliation: His own criminal operation
Base Of Operations: Madripoor
Height: About 6' Weight: About 215 lbs
Eyes: Glowing red Hair: Reddish brown
Source of Character: Night Thrasher #3-4

Quotes:
"My namesake? Given to me in my younger days. I found it dreadfully gauche back then. A hyena-like mammal which feeds mostly on termites and insect larvae, would you believe ?"

"Mr. Thrasher I've tried to reason with you; I have tried coercion; and I have tried providing you tangible evidence - but if the only way to make you accept the truth is to shove it down your stubborn, stinking throat - then let's do it."

Powers and Abilities:
Aardwolf has superhuman strength and toughness, enhanced senses and sharp claws on his fingers. Although he looks like your standard feral mutant and behaves like he's a kick-ass martial artist, he's actually complacent and untrained in combat. His natural speed and power makes him a very strong opponent against normal peoples, but he's toast against any serious warrior.

Aardwolf is more gifted as a businessman and crimelord - he's rather intelligent and can handle complex plans and the Madripoor criminal scene with some skill.

History: Little is known about Chon Li, other than he is a mutant who grew up in Madripoor and gained the name Aardwolf in his youth. Although he disliked the name, it stuck. He established himself as a crimelord in the island of Madripoor, although he is much less renown than either Tyger Tiger or General Coy.

In recent years, he struggled against the group the Folding Circle, who had crashed their ship in Madripoor shortly after their battle at the Temple of the Dragon's Breadth. The group's leader, Midnight's Fire, convinced the Circle to make a play to carve their own criminal empire, challenging the position of Aardwolf. Gai No Don, a criminal businessman who was associated with the Taylor Foundation (owned by Dwayne Taylor, aka Night Thrasher) secretly funded the Circle.

Midnight's Fire also coerced his own sister, Silhouette (also the girlfriend of Night Thrasher) to join him. He did this partially by convincing her that Thrasher was a prisoner of Aardwolf and needed their help in rescuing him...which was at least partially true.

Aardwolf made contact with another crimelord, Tyger Tiger to discuss the threat posed by the young group of superhumans. Through unknown means, primarily deceit, Aardwolf led Night Thrasher to Madripoor and captured him. Aardwolf convinced Thrasher into believing that the Folding Circle had captured Silhouette, and by defeating them, he would be rescuing her. Aardwolf backed up his claims with recorded evidence that Silhouette had been assisting both the Folding Circle and the Concrete Dragons in the recent past. Night Thrasher continued to question him, which culminated in a battle between he and Aardwolf. Night Thrasher ended the battle by knocking them both out the window and maneuvering Aardwolf so he took the impact. When they hit the ground, the Folding Circle were waiting for them, and they overpowered Night Thrasher while Aardwolf fled.

Aardwolf made his way to a Lowtown base of Tyger Tiger, only to have her betray him by sicking the Circle on him again. The group easily overcame Aardwolf, bound him, and threw him into the ocean to drown. However, Night Thrasher returned and rescued him. Silhouette turned against the group, aiding Night Thrasher, and Aardwolf joined the battle, managing to drop Smiling Tiger. Eventually the group came to a stand-off, and the fight was ended. Aardwolf presumably continued to run his small criminal empire.

Personality: Aardwolf is a smooth operator, using a lot of deceitful tactics and in love with his own voice. He will talk a lot, and quite articulately - as seen in the quotes above. He prefers to run things from behind the scenes, although he does have a literal taste for blood. He also enjoys expensive food, clothing, and artwork, but he prefers to have his men work in Lowtown.

Aardwolf is pretty good at remaining calm and in control, even when he's completely overwhelmed. This is mostly a ploy which, combined with his feral appearance, makes everybody thinks he's a Sabertooth-level threat.

Note: Alter Ego is normally controllable but cosmic rays can induce the change and leave him in his natural, depowered form for a period of time. This also temporarily makes him his normal, sane self again.

Talents: Engineering, Electronics, Physics, Spacecraft Design.
Contacts: The Frightful Four, Scientific Community of the High Evolutionary's Counter-Earth, United States Army of the High Evolutionary's Counter-Earth

Real Name: Dr. Reed Richards of the High Evolutionary's Counter-Earth
Occupation: scientist
Marital Status: Married (although Susan is in a coma)
Known Relatives: Susan Storm-Richards (wife)
Group Affiliation: U.S Army of the High Evolutionary's Counter-Earth
Base of Operations : the High Evolutionary's Counter-Earth, mobile
Height: 6'1" / variable
Weight: 180 lbs. / approx. 1/2 ton
Hair: Brown, gray at the temples / Bald
Eyes: Brown / Red

Personality: Reed Richards of the High Evolutionary's Counter-Earth normally has exactly the same character traits and personality that Reed Richards has. Thus he's a humanitarian, investigative, intellectual, a family man and fanatically interested in science.

After the incident that made him into the Brute he became sinister, scheming, aggressive and downright bad (a true evil reflection of Reed Richards). They still shared common habits, like smoking that pipe. It were these similarities that enabled him to pose as the Real Richards for so long. He had a lethal temper and could casually kill someone before even realizing what he'd done. He more than anything wanted to destroy his good counter-part. Despite all this, he still felt love towards Susan Storm-Richards, who very much resembled his own Susan, who's stuck in a coma. Even in combat he was amazingly perceptive and analytical and managed to pull incredible stunts, such as opening the portal to the Negative Zone, casually. His opponents never expected that from a man of his temper and stature. As Brute he was power mad and very often gloated about his superior strength and belittled his enemies. This Reed Richards was also schizophrenic and paranoid. He didn't reveal his true intelligence to his opponents, instead letting them believe that he was a stupid thug, so that he could take them on unaware of the threat that he possessed. As the Brute he relied on really heavy brute force with little finesse, but used surprisingly complex tactics against his opponents. The Brute is superhumanly strong and tough, stronger than the Thing actually, and he'd for unknown reasons, grow a few feet in size if faced with heavy opposition. Like his counter-part he's also very courageous and originally worked very well in a team (until the temper of the Brute made it much harder to do so). The combination of intelligence and physical force made the Brute into a very, very dangerous enemy.

Appearance: Reed Richards of the High Evolutionary's Counter-Earth looks exactly like his Earth counterpart. Thus he's slightly above average height and weight. Like the ordinary Reed, he was often seen in a suit or white labcoat on Counter-Earth. While on Earth, he wore, while in hiding, blue trousers, a brown trench-coat and a brown broadhat. While the leader of the Fantastic Four, he wore the FF-costume. The Brute, OTOH, is a hideous, horrific and extremely muscular nightmare. His skin is gray, his eyes are red, his teeth are white and big and his skin appears to be some sort of tough, gray leather. While the Brute, his only clothing is a pair of green shorts.

Story/Origin: Prepare for a fabulous, usual story; the original Counter-Earth was a creation of the High Evolutionary. It was an almost exact copy of the normal Earth including it's inhabitants and history. It was located 2 billion miles from the Earth, on the other side of the Sun and thus they couldn't detect each other easily. When Counter-Earth (home also to Adam Warlock and Dr. Strange the Necromancer) was attacked by mighty Galactus the High Evolutionary, aided by the Fantastic Four, opposed him.

The Reed Richardsof this Counter-Earth was at that point working for the US Army with whom he witnessed the combat. The Army had pinpointed a certain asteroid in orbit as the Evolutionary's headquarters. Desperate for victory and survival, this Reed Richards took his recently built space-rocket and left for the High Evolutionary's base in order to find something they could use to secure their further existence.

Unfortunately, the rocket headed straight into a cosmic storm, just as he reached the asteroid, and Reed was bombarded with heavy doses of cosmic rays, but nothing apparent happened. The ship malfunctioned and exploded, but Reed managed to fly away using a rocket pack on his back. He found an open latch on the asteroid and entered into it. Inside he found a fantastic world of science and technology. Reed fanatically studied what he found and began looking for the asteroid's creator. Instead he had an accident where he got a heavy metal pod on his head, which left him unconscious for many hours. When he woke up, the Fantastic Four and the High Evolutionary had defeated Galactus and thus accessed one of the Evolutionary's tachyon-driven space-ships in order to get home again. The Counter-Earth Reed Richards (let's call him Counter-Reed) sneaked into the ship, in order to get away from space, and stayed hidden until they reached the normal Earth. Upon reaching the orbit a strange sensation arose in Counter-Reed, a sensation that would soon prove to be quite lethal to the Fantastic Four. A little accident made the ship crash straight in Central Park, NY City, and after the FF had departed, Counter-Reed found some clothing and a newspaper. In that newspaper there was an advertisement made by the Frightful Four (now only the Wizard, the Sandman and the Trapster), who advertised for new members into their criminal group. At 1400 hours, any applicants should visit them in the Baxter Building itself. The FF who'd seen the advertisement also immediately hurried there in order to stop them; unfortunately they were beaten and taken hostage. Staying hidden from recognition with a hat and longcoat Counter-Reed went there also and got into the queue of applicants (many of whom were never to be seen again). Among the applicants were the Osprey, Texas Twister, Thundra (who wanted revenge on the Sandman, but failed), Captain Ultra and Tigra. Tigra was there to free the FF and managed to release the Human Torch and the Thing. The Wizard, of the Frightful Four, realizing the trouble, talked to the remaining applicants and offered anyone who'd help beat the Human Torch and the Thing a guaranteed life-long membership in the Frightful Four. Realizing this extreme opposition all applicants, except one, hurried away.

This applicant, Counter-Reed, changed into a horrible, gray, humanoid being known only as the Brute, and went up. He fought the Thing and managed to open the lock to other dimension known as the Negative Zone, into which he was sucked in. The Human Torch was defeated by the Sandman. The Brute immediately became a member and shocked the others by changing back into Reed Richards. The accident with the hit in his head on that spaceship had, apparently, left him as a sinister and evil version of his former self.

Counter-Reed wanted to see Reed Richards dead, and when the gang wanted to get ransom for them instead from the state, Counter-Reed changed back into the Brute and attacked them. The Wizard managed to persuade him with the fact that Counter-Reed would get unlimited funds for his research, which cooled him down somewhat. When time run out, at late night, and no money showed up the Wizard was going to kill the FF by electrocuting them. Luckily, the alien Impossible Man was, at that time, a visitor at the Baxter Building and watched TV. When the broadcastings ceased the Impossible Man became upset and thought that perhaps the television needed more power in order to continue. He therefore connected all the television to another power source in the power room.

Fortunately, this source was connected to the room where the FF where prisoners. The effect was that everything was short-circuited and the FF, along Thundra and Tigra, were released. They quickly defeated the Frightful Four except for Brute, who ran away with Reed Richards to the Negative Zone portal room. When the FF arrived there, they only found Reed Richards, in his uniform, standing there. He explained that he'd managed to throw Brute into the zone. Unfortunately, this Reed was really Brute himself, who'd thrown in the real Richards into the zone, after taking his clothes.

Counter-Reed, now the leader of the Fantastic Four, began to plot how to eliminate them all. After some time, the team began to suspect that something was wrong since Reed wasn't himself; he was unusually aggressive. When the Thing reclaimed the remains of a mysterious robot that had just robbed the bank to Counter-Reed, in order for him to study it, Counter-Reed proclaimed that it had come from the Negative Zone. Thus the Human Torch and the Thing were sent there with wires only to keep them connected to their home reality. Soon enough they found the real Reed, who was standing with Annihillus and who were just about to be crushed by a giant in metallic armor. The Thing rescued them and took them away. Soon enough they realized that their wires had been cut and that this Reed was, indeed, the real Reed Richards. Meanwhile, on Earth, the Brute was going to finish the Invisible Woman. He beat her unconscious and threw her out of the window from the top floor. The Impossible Man, Thundra and Tigra, who're back from a fake mission that Counter-Reed had sent them on, managed to save her. The giant in metallic armor, was under the control of the Mad Thinker, and had actually taken Annihillus Cosmic Rod (actually it was one of his lost androids that had taken the rod and changed into this giant). He now crushed the gate back to the Earth and was faced by the form of the Brute. The Brute was soon changed back into Reed Richards of the Counter-Earth when he was attacked with cosmic rays. Counter-Reed was now his normal, sane self again, and regretted his actions. All members of the FF arrived there soon enough and defeated the giant by taking the rod from him. The real Reed had saved the day again and reasoned that the rod had to be given back to it's owner Annihillus.

Counter-Reed, grateful that Reed had saved his own world from Galactus, and filled with guilt, realized what kind of man Reed Richards really was. No longer wanting to expose anyone for danger, he took the rod and threw himself into the Negative Zone, in order to give it back to Annihillus, sealing the entrance while doing so. He was never, AFAICT, to be seen again, but a man of his ingenuity could survive in the zone to this day.

History: Armada is a mercenary for hire, and he's very good at what he does. His armor changes every time he show up, apparently because of minor upgrades and modifications. He is hired by Mysterio quite a bit of late to deal with Spider-Man. However, each altercation has ended in failure (except the first, when he got away), and Spider-Man is clearly the better fighter.

Armada's most interesting quirk seems to be his love towards the small robots that normally surround him. They all have girl's names, and he gets extremely ticked whenever anybody destroys one. (Nooooooo! You killed Maureen!) He's a nut job, but he's a mysterious nut job.

Recently, Armada has apparently ended his pact with Mysterio after the magician tricked him. It is unclear whether he will still work with Mysterio, or if he is now going to try to defeat Spider-Man on his own.

History: When Peter Parker learned that his long-thought-dead clone was alive, he was equally shocked to learn that the creator of the clone, Professor Miles Warren, the Jackal, had survived as well. Reencountering the Jackal, as well as the murderous first clone called Kaine, a fight broke out in the Jackal's lab, and another clone of Peter Parker emerged, though it was very likely that this wasn't a clone at all, that the man who came out of hiding then was actually the real Peter Parker. The third Parker learned quickly that he was in fact a clone of the real Spider-Man, and with the nickname "Freakface" he fought Spider-Man, and the clone who had taken to calling himself the Scarlet Spider. The clone began mutating in the course of the battle though and was presumed dead following it.

With the assistence of the seemingly mystical being known as Scrier though, "Freakface" was brought back to Warren's lab though and patched up and given a chance to be his own "spider". Through Jackal's technology the third clone was given the ability to transmutate it's being and was given a costume to become Spidercide, named for what it would enact upon Spider-Man, the Scarlet Spider and Kaine, it's "Brothers". When the Jackal's plans came to pass, Spidercide emerged, encountering the youth heroes the New Warriors and fighting against any who stood in Warren's path to repopulate the world with clones. However as the Jackal grew closer to reaching his goal, it was revealed that Spidercide had begun working for Scrier, who had no intention of mass global murder. Spidercide's attempt to stop Warren was shortlived though when they both fell out of a top story of the Daily Bugle and Spidercide splattered on the street below.

After the Jackal was defeated and his viral bomb difused, Spidercide was taken away by SHIELD officers, who admitted that while Spidercide most certainly appeared to be dead, it wasn't impossible that he might have survived the fall. Whether or not Spidercide is still alive is unknown.

By expending a level of damage equal to a number, maverick can up his strength to said level (50 points- AM strength) for one action (punch, throw, lift). By expending 50 points, he can create a concussive blast of AM range and damage, force. This requires an endurande feat directly after, or he falls KO'ed for 10-100 rounds from exhaustion. The third blast is a yellow feat, the fifth a red.

Battle Armor

Equipment: Maverick has access to all sorts of weaponry, including energy blasters of up to RM intensity, and shooting weapons of In damage and reduce Body armor by -2CS.

Limitaton: Maverick is afflicted with the Legacy Virus, which is currently in remission.

Talents- M.arts-all, weapons master, guns, wrestling, tumbling, Detictive/espionage(+3cs), electronics, computers, stealth, marksman, tactican.

History: David North, a former German Freedom Fighter known as Maverick, was the former partner of Wolverine, Sabretooth, Mastodon, John Wraith, and Silver Fox when they were all C.I.A. agents.

Maverick possesses the mutant ability to absorb kinetic impact within certain limits without injury to himself. He wears body armor and wields large guns. His aging process has been greatly slowed by an "age suppression factor." In recent times Maverick had been suffering from the debilitating final stages of the Legacy Virus infection. Maverick "died" with the mutant telepath Elena Ivanova at his side.

Ivanova proceeded to perform C.P.R. on Maverick and use her mutant psionic powers to tap into his mind and coax Maverick back to life. The process proved exceptionally effective, because when she brought back Maverick, she also brought back his lost powers. In fact, they were brought back with such a great force that the explosion sent Ivanova flying across the room. Fortunately she was not harmed and Maverick's Legacy Virus seems to have gone into a type of remission.

Maverick then learned that his powers had mutated, so while he can still absorb kinetic impacts, his body now needs to release the stored energy. He also discovered that he could re-channel that absorbed energy out through his hands. This power can even be used to deliver a devastating punch that hits with ten times the force of a normal punch. Since the "remission" of the Legacy Virus, the telltale scars that usually accompany the virus have healed on Maverick's face.

Powers: Manipulate Light Energy
Solarr was a mutant with the Unearthly ability to absorb, store, and manipulate large amounts of energy from light, especially direct sunlight. This energy he used for the following power stunts:
Heat Blasts: Solarr could project a blast of heat energy that would do Incredible (40) damage and had a range of three areas. After 10 turns of continuous blasting, Solarr had to recharge for 45 minutes.

Heat Resistance: Solarr's mutation made him highly resistant to heat attacks. Heat attacks are reduced -3CS versus Solarr, and then a Red FEAT roll was required to actually injure him.

Supplemental Power Source: Egghead once designed fro Solarr an auxiliary power supply that allowed him to operate at full power at night.

Role-playing Notes: Silas King was a no-good drug-smuggling lowlife who unfortunately developed a mutant power and turned to crime. Solarr, if alive in your campaign, is a simple, straightforward Villain. He could be a wonderful nemesis for a lone hero or a small number of low-powered good guys. Since he is so simple, he also makes a wonderful "soldier" for a major villain (maybe even Nebulon). His heat-generating abilities could be in high demand among criminal masterminds; just think of all the safes, vaults, armored cars, etc., that he could melt. If Solarr developed a few more power stunts (light or heat-related; look to the Human Torch for ideas) and gets his hands on another supplemental power source, he could be quite nasty.

Real Name: Silas King
Occupation: Professional criminal
Legal Status: U.S. citizen with a criminal record
Identity: Publicly known
Place of Birth: Carson City, Nevada
Marital Status: Single
Known Relatives: None
Base of Operations: Mobile; later Project: Pegasus complex
Past Group Affiliations: A former member of Egghead's Emissaries of Evil, former ally of Klaw
Present Group Affiliations: None

History: Silas King was born with latent mutant powers that might have remained dormant if he had not been exposed to prolonged solar radiation. A former smuggler of illicit narcotics, King was making one of his frequent runs from Los Angeles to New York City when his van broke down in the Mojave Desert. King spent several days in the desert trying to make his way back to civilization, marginally surviving on cactus pulp. The several days' exposure to the desert sun catalyzed the latent mutation within his body that enabled certain of his cells to store solar energy. When King eventually reached civilization he was immediately hospitalized for sunstroke and dehydration. While recovering, he accidentally discovered he could discharge the solar energy he had stored as heat blasts.

After recuperating, King made his way to New York City to take up a criminal career. He named himself "Solarr" and initially used his superhuman powers to rob banks. His criminal career brought him into partnership with Klaw and membership in the Emissaries of Evil, led by the criminal mastermind Egghead. However, Solarr repeatedly met defeat at the hands of such crime fighters as the Avengers, Captain America, Spider-Man, and the Thing. Eventually, the captured Solarr was imprisoned at the Project: Pegasus complex, a federal energy research center, in New York State. There his ability to store and discharge solar energy was studied by Project scientists.

He dresses in hunter green, and has a medieval crest on his tabard (a dragon in a box). On his first attempt to enter the NY assassin market he tried to take out Ben Urich, but was stopped by Daredevil and the Green Goblin (Phil Urich). He's overall a pretty tough guy, and would make a formidable foe for low power heroes.

Hardcore was Luke Cage's nemesis during his short solo comic that was out a few years ago. They clashed for the first time in the first issue. Hardcore then clashed with Cage's sometime girlfriend Dakota North while trying to steal information about Cage's past. He then sent the Untouchables (Tombstone, Nitro, and Kickback) to attack Cage and capture Dakota which proved unsuccessful. He then thwarted a rebellion led against him by Kickback. In another attack on Cage he was nearly killed. He then blew up the "Black Hole", a club, in Colorado where he captured Cage, his brother and his father in order to put them all to death at once. In this last attempt at Cage's life he was apparently killed in an explosion and has not been heard of since.

Future Stories: May be used in stories taking place before apparent death or even before encountering Cage. Also, maybe he wasn't killed. As usual in comics, no body was found, so he may be badly injured/maimed but still living and eager for revenge against Cage. If not maimed and still living, could possibly start and instruct an assassin training school as per the Taskmaster or Foreigner.

Invulnerability to mental probes, control, possession, or domination except vs. computers/machines. Siege may have a resistance to computer take over at RM ability, but he is currently unaware of this.

Limitations: His simplified digestive system can only absorb a liquid nutrient formula and cannot handle ordinary, solid food. Siege has no tactile sensation. A self-diagnostic display is used to help counter this handicap. Also, doesn't know how to access all of his body's capabilities. Perhaps a yellow or red R,I, &/or P roll (judge's discretion) can uncover further capabilities.

Talents: Military (U.S. Marines, Guns), Law Enforcement (NYPD), Detective, Guns.

Contacts: Known freelance operative for SHIELD (Nick Fury) and Silver Sable Inc. (including Wild Pack), has been ally of Deathlok III on several occasions, has encountered fellow cyborg Coldblood, and Daredevil as well.

Personal History: John Kelly, the man that would become the second Deathlok and later Siege, first worked for the New York Police Department and later joined the United States Marine Corps.

After his body was rebuilt into the Deathlok cyborg, his brain was electrocuted by the cyborg's onboard computer. Later, his physical brain was removed from the cyborg body and mutated into the creature known as Biohazard. His consciousness, however, continued to reside within the Deathlok onboard computer in a digitized form.

Through the machinations of the evil surgeon Harlan Ryker, the brain of cybernetic specialist Michael Collins was later installed into the now inert Deathlok cyborg. Collins was able to take control of the cyborg, possibly by the aid of Kelly's consciousness, and escape from Ryker's agents. After this, Collins began a journey to regain his humanity while inadvertantly becoming an adventurer in the process (becoming the third Deathlok), all the while not knowing that the consciousness of another human being resided within his cyborg frame.

Eventually, Deathlok III tangled with Biohazard. Shortly after this, Deathlok accessed Kelly's brain patters, leading to the downloading of Kelly's personality into the Siege cyborg. After this, Siege confronted Ben Jacobs, Mainframe, and the Cyberwarriors on several occasions alongside Deathlok, Silver Sable, and the Wild Pack. His ability in battle caught the eye of Silver Sable, and he has worked for her occasionally since then. He has also worked for SHIELD.

Future Stories: Personally, I don't know what happened to Siege after the conclusion to the Deathlok series. Hopefully he's still around, but even if he isn't there's no reason not to use this character in your stories--there's a lot of potential here.
