JOIN THE TAAA!

The Texas Amateur Archeological Association is a group of artifact collectors, hunters and amateur archeologist that want to learn more about what they are finding and/or look at what everyone else is finding. That is what our quarterly magazine, the Texas Cache is mostly dedicated to. It is a 32 page magazine full of pictures and sometimes stories about Texas arrowheads and related artifacts (black and white).

Membership includes a membership card, four issues of the Texas Cache, the Texas Artifact Magazine. Invitations to our archeological digs (you keep the points), a free E-mail Electronic TAAA Newsletter (if you get this there is no need to be put on the dig list as we will E-mail all dates out to you in this format) that shows the artifacts we find at the digs plus other archeological information.

As a member you can ask to be invited to digs - $10 up front fee to cover the cost of monthly mailers - totally refundable when you come to your first dig. On our digs you keep the artifacts, there is an extra fee for the digs - normally $50 a day for hand digs and $100 if we use the backhoe to dig for you. You can ask to be put on the electronic newsletter (free) that keeps you up to date with what is happening in the TAAA (photos of our dig finds, dig dates and other interesting archeological articles etc.) Also, if you sign up for the TAAA Electronic Newsletter you will receive tips on artifact collecting occasionally through your E-mail address. Artifacts will also be offered for sale occasionally.

We are currently attempting to add the metal detecting community to our membership. We are working on an issue that will include at least 2 pages dedicated to the metal detecting community. More pages will be added if our membership increases enough to warrant it.

Membership is $40 per year for a single or $50 for a family membership (rate change effective May 15th). Two year memberships are $75 for the single and $90 for the family. Subscriptions only (no Electronic Newsletter or Member privileges, such as coming to digs etc.) are $30.00 for four issues of the Texas Cache, the Texas Artifact Magazine.
