Bird of Paradise ©1999RDS
The Bird of Paradise is the perfect name for such an exquisite flower. This plant has green leaves with orange flowers and a little touch of purple. Once cut the flowers last along time in water. We have a rather large batch of this growing wild in our yard, the leaves are sword shaped and very sharp on the point....don't back up into them......hey the Hawaiian Grime Reaper scythe? That's what it will take to kill out this plant.....have very deep roots. "Look mom, pretty flowers, no work!" You like pretty flower you better be sure you want um for as long as you live, nah, longer, or have one bulldozer laying around. You like fo' get revenge on nasty relative leave the house to dem and plant plany of these bugas.
