Although there are many different species of gingers, the Red Ginger is probably the most popular of gingers in Hawaii. Like it's cousin the yellow ginger, the red ginger is grown in many backyards, (& front yards). People love to use this strong flower in arrangements. At all occasions this is one of the primary display flower arrangements because of its heartyness. Its solid stalk allows the flower to stand tall and firm without florist tape or wire, and once in an arrangement, can withstand even the hottest day without withering or wilting.
