Ryouta isn't really a main character in Yu-Gi-Oh!, but hey, that's what the shrine is for! Ryouta is an ocean duelist. He's always near or in the water, and has loved the water since he was little. When he was young, he and his father were on a boat, but then a storm set in, and his father tied him to a pole on the boat. When the storm was over [or whatever], Ryouta couldn't find his father. He was beleived to be dead at sea.

Ryouta later on became a duelist. He got a letter one day, which had the Legendary Fisherman with it. Ryouta cared for this card because it looked just like his father, or it reminded him of him. When Ryouta lost the duel he had with Jounouchi, he was upset getting rid of his Legendary Fisherman, but Jounouchi said he'd take good care of it.

And of course, we all know that Ryouta is only in 4 episodes, but that didn't stop me from making a site for him! Hehe!
