Monty is a big-voiced husky feller capable of writing ballads and roadhouse songs that can make a feller weep or shout in three minutes time. Sometimes known as the Luciano Pava"raunchy" of the honky tonk, Monty and his music have been featured at festivals, nightclubs, and rib joints throughout the South.

The Hardcore Troubadours

Monty is joined by compadres Mike James and Michael Rasbury to form the Hardcore Troubadours, an alliance begot in 1998, to fill an "acoustic" night at the Sundown Tavern in Ruston. What began as acoustic-only music evolved into honky tonk piano, slide guitar, and string-bustin' acoustic banging thatis the Hardcore Troubadours sound. Once you hear it, you don't forget it.
