About Us
15/02/05

Hi and Welcome,

My name is Lesley, my partners name is Lee. We have a 14 month old son named Ben Kennedy. We are from Londonderry in Northern Ireland. Ben was  Born 15 weeks premature on 16th December 2003, contracted MRSA at 7 weeks old, developed Subglottic Stenosis at 9 weeks old and had to have a tracheostomy since he was just 9 weeks old, still 6 weeks before his due date of 1st April 2004.

We have recently launched this website due to the fact that their isn't any support groups dealing with people with tracheostomys within Northern Ireland.  Our main aim is to provide much information and support to parents that have a child with a tracheostomy.

We were given little information on this and didnt know were to turn.  We scanned the internet looking for information which proved a very interesting read, but nothing for Northern Ireland.  We found many helpful sites on all of Bens conditions.

Please browse through our site, you may find helpful and interesting things.  Feel free to contact us at any time.
