. First thing my wife did was to do a search withs REVS to check it wasn't encumbered. Then she visited the local POLICE Station to get a check on chassis and engine number for a stolen vehicle. Because the car had changed hands a couple times this was a MUST. Everything turned out fine and the car is 100% legally owned by myself. Anyone who buys a car Privately should do this, it saves a lot a problems later.
