THE KING OF FIGHTERS 2002

La empresa Eolith puso a disposición de todos los fanáticos alrededor del mundo una dirección de correo para que se envíen las sugerencias acerca de la nueva versión, según se sabe, la idea es saber que personajes serán retirados de la serie y quienes serán incluídos, kofmaster@eolith.co.kr también apareció una persona con supuesta "información" del nuevo juego, y como tal debe ser tomada con sus debidas reservas.

A continuación enumeramos los "supuestos" equipos que aparecerán en el juego, repetimos que son supuestos, puesto que si Eolith abrió el canal de comunicación para saber que personajes quitar y a quienes poner es más que obvio que esta lista no es oficial y en un momento dado puede ser completamente falsa, sin embargo, hemos decido colocarla para información de nuestros visitantes:

Según esto aparecerán 15 equipos, con 4 integrantes cada uno dando un total de 60 personajes, se manejan nuevos nombres y nuevos equipos, (¿5 equipos nuevos ?, ¿21 nombres nuevos? demasiados creo yo) además de muchos otros cambios en los equipos ya conocidos, pues por ejemplo se dice que Terry aparecerá con su vestimentas de Garou, lo que supone un cambio en la historia de la familia Bogard, también un equipo Ex-NEST con 2 personajes nuevos debido principalmente a la muerte de Foxy (quien es el único personaje de K2001 que no aparece en la lista y que no es lógico pues se supone que eolith quitará a algunos personajes y no solamente a uno), si los fanáticos votarán por 3 salidas y 3 reapaciciones, faltarían 2 personajes más por salir y la resurecciones podrían ser: Chizuru, Kasumi y Billy según la lista anterior, pero si retiramos a 2 más, ya no quedaría como están puestos pues tenemos a 18 caras nuevas (repito, se me hacen demasiadas), francamente dudo mucho de esta lista.

Ok, ok... I've my sources and, believe it or not, all you will read below can be considered almost 100% confirmed. I can't say where these infos come from, just two names 'Japan' and 'Brezza'.

Story:

The story took up just right following the KOF2001 one. Nests collapsed, but its roots still exist. Igniz in fact had a brother (NOTE: the one he talked about in one KOF2001 ending maybe?). Anyway the hosts of the tournament are the blonde girl who was at Igniz's side in KOF2001 and Long, Lin former master. The story emphasize on Chine, mistic power and so on. VERY DIFFERENT atmosphere from 99/2001 tecno style, everything is more 'mystical' this year. Long and the lady seems to be after the 'Dragon Power' which is contained in Kensou/Bao and they like to fully awake it in order to seize that and control the world.

New team rooster is:

Hizoku Team:
Lin, Sai, Ran, Chitto
This is formed by Lin and his three fellow we saw in KOF2001 (a victory pose of Lin), say the big guy (Sai), the sexy gal (Ran, who use some flame power out of her feet) and the weird child (Chitto). Spelling of the names can be wrong, they're written in chinese character with Japanese pronune written aside, thus the correct spelling may vary (as for Xian Fei - Shanfee)

Botsu Team:
Blaze, Koji Botsu, Maya Botsu, Puma
This is the new tream of the game, the Botsu family is a Japan old family which is rival to Lin Hizoku clan and also involved to the Dragon Power, you can see thir sketch in KOF2001 mook, even if preliminary. They're look is quite trendy, metropolitan and -er- weird. Blaze is a sexy femal dressed with a tight blak latex full body suit and a violet trenchcoat over that. She uses two blades in fighting, which are put on her hands. Koji is a Kyo-like character, but seem younger and navier. Maya is a young 'cute' female with a smart look, short hair and kinf od abiator glasses on her hands. Puma is a big wrestler.lika characters, he has felin ear nad I think he wears a kind of mask.

Psycho Soldier Team:
Athena Asamiya, Sie Kensou, Bao, Chin Gentsai
Nothing new here, Athena will be redrawn again, but still nothing new. Kensou has full Psycho Power returned now, not only the Psycho Ball.

Burning Team:
K', Maxima, Whip, Kula
Pretty obvious after KOF2001. Kula will be redraw, no other change announced.

Ex-Nest Team:
K9999, Angel, Diana, Misty
After the assassination of Foxy. Diana come to spy K9999 moves and pretend to be loyal to him, while she is still whit Kula (she remitted the little one in K' hands for this mission). Misty is a new female character. She is young, busty, green haired lady with a 'tough&nasty' look. She remainds me Kaori from Akira, and she's dressed up pretty much like a biker (a red suit which recall me Kaneda's from Akira too). Diana fight with a rapier like Foxy did. [NOTE: Whoa! Sure Brezza want to portray K9999 as manly anti-hero, another year a male with three gal in a team]

Japan Team:
Kyo Kusanagi, Benimaru Nikaido, Goro Daimon, Moe Habana
Does Eolith plans to keep NeoBlood in the offial KOF continuity? I hope not. Anway Moe is introduced by Kyo. Goro is now redraw and fight with his complete judo suit. Benimaru has its hair down.

Saishu Team
Saishu Kusanagi, Shingo Yabuki, Sho Kirishima, Chizuru Kagura
Does Saishu made up this thing? We knew from 2001 Japan ending he was to train Shingo. The same is with Sho (or spell it Syo, whoi actually was just a Kyo prototype, huh!). The Kagura presence lead me to think all this relates to the Dragon Power as well. A new 'holy/devilish' power as the Orochi one to be sealed off?

Kyokungen team:
Same as 2000.

Garou team:
Same as 99, with Mai's back in place of Mary, Terry will appears in his MotW outfit, which I say is logical after Rock appareance in KOF2001. In the story they're to know something about Rock family... VERY INTERESTING

Korean Team
Kim Kapwahn, Chang Koehan Choi Bongue, Bae Dal
Bae Dal is tha prototype whe saw as a KOF2000 extra stricker.

New Korean Team
Jooh Hoon, Kim Dong Hwang, Kin Jae Hoon, May Lee
Now this is interesting. I see Eolith want to emphasise the Korean part in the rooster. Joon Hoon was already said to be influent in Kim's sons education, now we see the why. The two sons will appear in very juvenile image (maybe as Bao? I think a little older).

Heroine Team
King, Blue Mary, Kasumi Todo, Hinako Shijo
Oh well, old character, new combination.

Ikari Team
Same as 2001. In the story, they're after Whip and Nests remaining.

Southtown Team
Rick Strow, Li Xian Fei, Billy Kane, Tsugumi Sendo
Have I spelled correct the first name? He's the guy from RB2 anyway. Again, this is interesting. I see Brezza is getting a lot of characters from side games, like Tsugumi Sendo (from Wild Ambition) and prototypes... are they trying to get bargains in creating new designs?)

Yagami Team
Same as 2001
Seth is leading reserch to find out about what remains of Nests. IOri will appear in a new outfit, same pats, same shirt, different jaket (a long one, as the KOF2000 another striker).

Bosses confirmed till now:
1) Long (su-bboss)
2) [Unknow] Final boss, Igniz brother

I dunno if the blonde lady will also fight. As a striker maybe?

Little is know about the new fighting system. Striker and 'ratio' system remains for sure. A new 'double charging' system is annuced for the power bar, but I don't now in what that consist.

Final COMMET
WHOA!!! 15 team! Well, this will surely be a very incredible hit! How larger (in megs) this game will be? Can't wait to see more.
