Bird's life:- Bird species:- For budding birder :-
This is an all purposes terrain -walking, trekking, adventure as well picnic outings. The presence of lush undisturbed jungle hold promises of good chances of seeing birds. It should be a one hour causal slow walk on level ground each way. Place is relatively quiet with very little picnickers, except places of the camping sites.

Typical of all jungles, especially lowlands, flowering and fruiting season is critical. The best results, again, is during the early part of the morning.

Most part of the trail has this scene.

Quiet cool and refreshing. You can see that the terrain is of level ground. Avoid the area of the rapids as the noise from the falls confuses the situation

Most part of the trail runs beside the river

The official area of Templer Park ends at the spot of the swimming pool. In the first part of the walk, there is a paved road winding up a low slope. The road overlook the ravine where the river emerges from the forest.

This portion of the park is dominated by tall trees overlooking a barren ravine. Birding at most time is not so fruitful

A carpeted lawn slopes down the ravine at the opening part of the road into the Park

At the inner edge of the swimming pool, a narrow trail hugs the slope and uphill into the Bamboo forest. From here on, the river bed is one level up and the trail too is on level ground.

Here are the smaller birds from the bushes, starting with Tailorbird, Flowerpecker and Tit Babbler makes their presence.

Te start of the trail -it hugs the side of a ravine

The bridge in the foreground signals the arrival to the 1st campsite.

Birding could be done at the campsites. The area is a clearing, open, surrounded by lush jungle. The 2 official campsites along the way, were both located at river bends, together with the forest, formed sort of enclaves. Bird waves favored such setting it seemed. Birds here are Forktails, Greater racquet tailed Drongos, Leafbirds, Malkohas, Nuthatches and Minvets

Area of the 1st campsite

The core as well the edge of the Templer Park. - trail to the birding area starts from this point.
