Reaching for you
I will find out about you someday you know,
your son loved you so, I am his daughter and
he is gone too. Deep in my soul I must know
who you were. I ask people about you and
all they can say is I don't remember, it was so
long ago. I ask where you died and if you were
alone, and all they can say is I don't know.
I will find out about you sooner than they
think, I will not quit until I know. For some reason
you are in my soul. There must be something you
want me to know. It seems so weird I am obsessed
with finding out about you. I look at your picture
and all I can see is your soul reaching out to me.
I have a part of you somewhere I know, but why do
our souls need each other so. Your picture
makes me sad because I never met you but our
souls have met at least once a long time ago.
