Working Trials is the original UK dog Sport, originating in the 1930's and was the foundation on which Obedience in the USA was built.

Schutzhund is the German equivilant of the UK's Working Trials. This dog sport is much more precise in its execution - the tracking has to be from one footstep to the next, unlike working trials where, providing the dog follows the scent all is well.
