Syracuse-This is a strange out of conference game, it's strange since it is in the middle of SEC play for us. Syracuse is scheduled to play two SEC teams this year, at Tennessee and us at the Carrier Dome. That is leaving out that they open the season at the meadowlands to play Georgia tech in the "Kick-off Classic". They went 6-5 last year and did not go to a bowl last year. Auburn and Syracuse have only met once and that was in New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl in 1988, which ended up in a tie 16-16 by the way, is the only tie in Sugar bowl History. . That game gave former coach Pat Dye the nickname "Tie Dye" as the angry Syracuse fans sent him thousands of orange ties, which he disregarded most of them but autographed one and it is now in a case in "Anders" book store in Auburn. So they will scratch around as the end of the season comes closer. As for the game, I believe that this game will be a hard fought game. I think that we will need to run a lot to pull this one out. I think that the noise and heat in the Dome can be a difficult thing to overcome, but I think that the heat and humidity of the first two games and not to mention Yoxercise will help also.The heat in the Dome will be nothing new, and they will be worn out from the first games, we will win 28-17 and it's not that close.
