T-BIRD CLOCK REPAIR
A tip for '55 and '56 T-Bird owners. If for any reason you want to remove the face of your clock the hand set knob has a left hand thread. Remove the outside housing , then pull the knob out to its limit. Using small narrow jaw pliers, grip the shaft tightly , then turn the knob clockwise to remove it from the shaft. The clock was designed this way so that when setting the clock, the hands are always turned clockwise by turning the knob counter clockwise. I have received innumerable clocks for repair with damaged or broken hand set shafts. Lloyd Van De Bogart, # 3164
