A single ragged individual was at Camp Rio Vista on 1 September 2002 (tg). One was at RV on 2 October 2002 (tg). Up to four were at RV on 3 October 2002 (tg). One was below the dam at IDL on 2 October 2002 (tg). One was pictured on the front page of The Kerrville Mountain Sun on 9 October 2002 from a photo taken on 5 October 2002 by Irene van Winkle. It was nectaring on pink Lantana at the Riverside Nature Center.
