Orange Sulphur, Colias eurytheme
This is an interesting individual. The eyespot on the hindwing is single rather than having the usual satellite. It also has a more narrow forewing eyespot than is most usual. For that reason it may appear to be a Clouded Sulphur, Colias philodice, not yet recorded in Kerr County. However, the combination of the width and shape of the upperwing black margins, and the size and position of the submarginal spots on the underwing lead me to call this an Orange Sulphur.

Orange Sulphur, Colias eurytheme
This individual was easily recognized by the rectangular patch missing from the margin of the left hindwing.
It allowed the diffuse balck of the left upper hindwing to be visible as though through a window.
