Changing the Calendar File:

As the '99 season approaches, we all get the yearning to start racing a full season, or we have a track like Daytona that we would like to add to the calendar. Of course, with the '96 stock season that came with the game you can't run a '99 season or race at Daytona.

To do this we will again be using the ever popular text editor (Simpletext or BBedit). First, you will need to open the Calendar file. This can be found in the Nascar Folder: Data Folder: calendar.

There are four numbers in each line of the Calendar file. The first is the month, the second the day, the third is whether this is the first or second race at a particular track (0-first, 1-second) and the fourth is whether or not this is a night or day race (0-day, 1-night). Next in the line is the name of the track. More accurately, the name of the folder that contains the track. Make sure that the name of the folder and the name here are exactly the same. Finally, the year, which as you can see in fig. 2 have all been changed to 1999. To make a 1999 schedule all you have to do is change the dates and add the appropriate tracks. That's all there is to it.
