Accepted by many to be the main reason behind the Pickles latest revival. His "run with the ball" policy has elevated the Pickles into the dizzy heights of a never before attained first position. Shorn's playing days look to be over although he is always likely to put his boots on for just one more farewell apperance. He will always be remembered for his wondergoal against Belmont in a friendly where he developed the "Hill manoeuvre ". Simply speaking it invloves controlling the ball, tapping the ball sideways, readjusting and then shooting. Absolutely irresistable.
