The decision to seperate between Björn and Agnetha has already privatly
been made brfore the trip to Japan.
They have agreed to stay together until
after Christians' first birthday and Jul in Dec.
After celebrating as usual and eating
dinner, Agnetha and the children leave
on Dec. 25 1978.
Nov 78 in Japan.
Agnetha and Björn had not been getting along for
a long time. After they both tried marriage counceling and failed to resolve their problems, the decision was made to divorce. One week after Agnetha leaves with the children, Björn goes to a New Years Eve party and meets Lena Källersjö. He and Agnetha aleady knew
her as she had been in their social circle.
"As soon as Agnetha left, I knew I wanted to fall
in love again. I knew I couldn't make it as a bachelor."
Agnetha and Björn seperated on Dec. 25, 1978 and
it was made public in the papers in the middle of
January 1979.
"It was very strange working together afterwards, but we both wanted to be friends, so there was no reason why
that shouldn't happen.”
On December 31, 1978 Benny and Frida have a
New Years Eve party. One of the guests was a good
friend of Frida's, Lena Källersjö. Björn and Agnetha knew
her already. But that night Björn and Lena began to
talk and found that they had alot in common. The chemistry was there and they
became a couple right away. Soon Lena moved into the house with Björn that
Agnetha had recently left.
Björn began working on the upcoming tour.
