The dangerous cloning experiments carried out by Tarantulas have created another powerful ally for the heroic Maximals: Sonar. Super-acute senses provide matchless reconnaissance abilities, while bio-cyber elements allow unmatched strength and mobility. When combined with a fiery, almost uncontrallable aggression, Sonar makes a dangerous enemy and somewhat unpredictable ally. Much to his chagrin, Tarantulas has unintentionally created the finest early warning system ever to have existed - the Maximal known as Sonar!
Cloned from the body of the fallen Maximal Fuzz, a warrior from the future, Sonar may possess valuable information that even he is not aware of. From time to time Sonar glimpses images from his other life, but none of them make any sense to him. He hopes that in time he will learn what they mean and find out just what kind of warrior he had been.
