Lost in Youth
by
Ian Brazee-Cannon

Two dozen years beyond birth
Young and lost
The world burdens us with
Pain and Pleasure
Shaping our minds
For the later times
When we must be able
To get outside of our emotions
We can not let the weight
Of our misery pull us down
In conquering the hardships
We strengthen ourselves
Yet their are times
When the weight seems too much
The burden too big
And the hardship too overwhelming
We must then look
To others to help us
Gain the strength to overcome
For there is no greater stability
Than what is gained from companionship
