Imperial Officers' Club
Episode 13: An Imperial Christmas

by
Ian Brazee-Cannon

It was the night before Christmas
And all through the ship
The Imperials settled in
For a nice relaxing trip

Tarkin and Dalaa
Were getting ready for bed
The old guy was happy
Nothing more need be said

Veers chased a mouse droid
His intentions quite clear
The poor little fellow
Squeaked loudly in fear

Thrawn Patiently waited
As his pet fell asleep
So he would finally be able
To clean out its teeth

Piett on the bridge
Did not trust his eyes
Something was there
That should not be in the skies

A heavy set man in red
With a jolly old face
Being pulled by two taun tauns
Through the cold void of space

The Emperor Sensed
That San-Ta was near
From his old enemy
He had much to fear

To help him deal
With this dire situation
Palpatine  awoke Vader
From deep meditation

In through an exhaust port
San-Ta did squeeze
He knew finding his target
Would not be a breeze

The old Jedi master
Moved calmly and quick
But Vader was ready
For this obvious trick

"We meet at last," Vader said
His voice hard and cold.
"You are San-Ta Claus,
A great warrior I am told"

With a flip of a switch
San-Ta was ready to fight
The two foes would battle
Long into the night

Resting alone
Motti Heard all the clatter
He rushed from his bed
To learn what was the matter

As Motti entered the corridor
He regretted he had
Knowing right away
This could only end bad

Motti ducked for his life
Feeling heat on his head
Yet something still got him
He soon would be dead

San-Ta suddenly realized
The time was getting late
"Darn, I must go now,
This battle must wait."

Vader's Lightsaber swung
But it only hit air
The Dark Lord was puzzled
San-Ta was no longer there

Into the darkness
San-Ta faded from site
He had much to do
On this holiday night

Thrawn- That was pointless,
              Even for this series
Piett- Does everything still have
          To Rhyme?
Vader- No more rhymes

Thrawn- What did any of this have
               to do with Christmas?
Piett- The guy in red was christmasy
Thrawn- Let's just go to the party
Piett- Party? Good, I need a drink

Piett- Shouldn't we say
          'Merry Christmas'
          or something like that?
Thrawn- No, everyone does that.
              We'll just walk away
