1.) Bronze Star-The Bronze Star is primarily red with a blue stripe down
the center. It is given for an act of bravery.
2.) Purple Heart-The Purple Heart is mostly purple in color with two white
stripes. This medal is awarded for being wounded in battle.
3.) Amry Good Conduct-This medal was awarded to Bill for his "good conduct". He said it took him two years to earn this medal.
4.) Army Of Occupation-This medal was awarded to all those that served for
30 days or more in occupied territories during WWII.
5.) Amry Service Ribbon-This ribbon only award was given to those that served
in the Army for a pre-determined period of time.
6.) Over Seas Service Ribbon-This ribbon oly award was given to those that
served over seas for a pre-determined period of time.
7.) European Campaign-This medal was awarded to those that served for 30
days or more in Europe, Africa, or the Middle East.
8.) WWII Victory-This medal was given to those that served between 1941
and 1946.
9.) Belgian Croix de Guerre-Known as the Belgian Cross Of War, this medal
was awarded to individuals who performed acts of heroism during WWII. It
was given to a small group of men by the country of Belgium.
10.) French Croix de Guerre-Similar in markings to the Belgian Croix de
Guerre, the French counterpart was awarded for acts of heroism. This medal
was also awarded to a small group of men by the country of France.
11.) Presidential Unit Citation-This ribbon only award was given out by
the President to individuals and units who performed acts above and beyond.

the French. It is a small braided cord that is draped around the shoulder
of the wearer.
Order Of The Knight Of William 4th Class-This award was given to a small
group of individuals. It is a small cord that is draped over the wearer's
shoulder. This award was not given by the US.
