When I say the word 'Witch', I bet you're imagining a green, warty old woman with a long hooked nose flying on a broomstick looking for a desolate child to eat.
Well, I hate to break the news but Witches are actually normal people. WitchCraft is a proper religion and it's practised around the world. And no, it's not evil. In fact it's anything but evil, as it teaches peace and how to bring happiness to the world. Witches do not believe in 'Satan' or the 'Devil' as many of you may think. Anybody you know could actually be one.
Witches do cast spells and rituals. They abide by a rule called Three-Fold Law, which means whatever you send out comes back to you three times. So they know that if they send out something bad, they'll get it back times three. A real Witch would never do a bad or harmful spell anyway.
You can't get 'good witches' and 'bad witches'. All witches are good although I have to admit, there are some 'witches' that choose to do black magick, but they aren't considered real witches, they're just plain stupid.
Witches spell the word 'magick' the the extra 'k' to define it from the staged, unreal magic you see at kiddie's parties. NO they don't do VooDoo, Curses or any other bull you may have heard. Witches are only good and help others.

Wicca and Wiccans A Wiccan is a type of witch. They're more intersted in nature, feeling good and having a positive attitdue towards life than casting spells.
Wiccan's have a Wiccan Rede, 'An Harm Ya None, Do As Ye Will', which indicates the peacefullness of these people. Most Wiccans don't do spells or rituals, although you can find Witch/Wiccans, which is a mix of both.
Witches, Spells and Magick Witches cast spells in many ways. Some spells can be a simple sentace, while others can be hours long.
Nobody knows for sure how Magick works. Of course, it doesn't ever work properly if you don't believe it, or you're testing it. Magick and spells are nothing to play with, or just do 'for fun'. Using magick for revenge or to see what happens is seriously asking for trouble. Never underestimate magick. 
Some Witches choose to aid their spells or rituals with healing stones, symbols, objects, candles or anything else they feel they need. To the left you can see a drawing of a Pentagram, a commonly used (and commonly misunderstood) WitchCraft symbol. Each point has a meaning; Spirit, Fire, Earth, Water and Air. These are the five vital elements.
