Michael Greyeyes: Tokalah Province

I hope you know how to fly!!!

TOKALAH PROVINCE
land of "mists and mellow fruitfulness."

Forested and natural...um, well.....supernatural is probably more apt, this area is home to mystics and

witches. In fact, one of Tokalah's most famous residents has had a  direct effect on  the topography of

this region ...one of her spells went awry and ever since the topsoil has been at a constant 800m above

the ground! It could be said Mariel's mishap raised the standard of living to new heights!!!  Luckily, the

waters of the Lurker River feed the lush landscape through a series of ingenious airborne aqueducts,

making it an abundant garden of every conceivable type of herb and other florae, and a variety of

animal life real and imagined.

Time stands still here, too. Quaint cottages and fairy tale castles house the local residents, who, by the

way, guard their privacy with alacrity. If you are visiting, make sure you do not point your camera too

close to one of these fine dwellings - you may find yourself turned into a frog.

The locals are colourful and hopeless romantics, believing in fairies, elves, Walt Disney...and castles in

the air.

Favourite local dress appears to be an abundance of layered multi-coloured chiffon.

If you choose to live in Tokalah ....you'd better learn how to fly!
