From the Lady of the Beasts in the Province of Tokolah.

Hi all! I found  this  letter under my favorite photograph  this morning, although I can't find my little arachnid anywhere--
thought I would let you all read it..... .

Tarantula's Christmas Message

'Twas the night before Christmas and all through Greyland,
All the creatures were scurrying and lending a hand
To the ladies who mourned with voices so pure,
Of the trials they had suffered, the tribulations endured
In trying to obtain that one perfect gift,
The one perfect video that would give each a lift,
For some it was 'SWCH' and 'The Minion' for another
Many had one but  did not have the other.

A message had come from the King far away,
To assemble in Mooseheart on that very day.
From gleaming Delchaney  in the finest array,
In silks, furs, and velvet they had gathered today.
From the Outpost in Tarantula's dry desert sand,
Came the brave warrior women, a right sturdy band.
With lotions and potions and feathers so fine,
They had all come together to have a good time.
From the forested borders to Adam Beach Bay
And the depths of Loch Lurker, they had come today.

So they gathered in the Palace and patiently waited,
For the King had so ordered, his wishes had stated.

The hours passed slowly and  so tired were they,
From the arduous trip which had taken all day,
All retired  for a while, each to a warm  bed
"Just for a tiny bit", each one had said.

Havoc was nestled all cosy at last
With visions of treats, from all Christmas pasts.
The ladies were sleeping as snug as could be,
In the Palace of Mooseheart the King for to see
My mistress, the Lady was wrapped up in a rug,
Just finishing her peppermint tea in a mug,
When out on the courtyard there arose  such a clatter,
My eight  little legs rushed out to see what was the matter,
When what to my little beady eyes should appear,
But a shiny red sleigh and six stallions so dear!
With a handsome young driver whose flowing dark hair
Enlightened me swiftly that His Majesty  was there.

The moon on the turrets of the castle so high
Gleamed gloriously, luminously from up in the sky.
More rapid than eagles his horses they  came,
And he whistled and shouted and called them by name,
"On Cirrus and Stratus and Thundercloud too!!
On Cumulus and Nimbus, come on Morning Dew!!
To the top of the tower, to the top of the wall.
Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!!"

On the top of the tower on that still moonlit night,
There landed the stallions and the red sleigh so bright.
With my little legs shaking to the Great Hall I flew,
Shouting and echoing through the long corridors too,
The ladies awakened and rushed in great hurry,
To the Great Hall they collected  all in a flurry.

At last I arrived and as I turned around,
Down the chimney the King came with a leap and a bound.
He was dressed all in leather and porcupine quill,
In his hair gleamed a feather which  gave me a thrill
His eyes how they sparkled, his smile was so merry
And on his strong back, a  big pack he did carry.

Then standing before us with all kingly might
"Fair maids", said he, "Don't despair on this sweet special night,
For I have some presents I would give all of  you,
For being so devoted and so loyal too.
There are videos for everyone, the one you did miss,
And for all of my subjects ...an embrace and a kiss."

The ladies did scream with wondrous delight,
As the King granted their wishes on that moonlit night.

Now the time was approaching when he had to depart,
Royal duties were calling, and deep in my heart
I knew he must leave though he'd rather not part,
From his subjects so loving, so dear from the start.

With a wave and a smile he made ready to go,
Jumped into his sleigh and started out in the snow,
And I heard him exclaim in a voice loud and clear,
"Do not worry, my subjects, and you must not fear,
For  I will return, I will come back, dear hearts,
And I will have with me all of 'Skipped Parts'".

Now this is a true story that I have related,
Written by me, TARANTULA, as I have previously stated,
On the keyboard I sat and pounced on each key.
(My mistress slept quietly and didn't see me).
And now as I finish this last little line,
Season's Greetings to all and to all a good time.
