TARANTULA
This province is usually avoided by all but the strong hearted! The countryside looks for all the world
like a rather sun dried Texas (though never having been to Texas we could be wrong!), but forget
everything you've every heard about southern hospitality! Tarantula Province has wide open spaces,
with large scattered ranches, where you can travel for miles without seeing a human face! Tarantulans
are strange and foreboding. They are most comfortable wearing their customary black top hat, and are
excellent horsewomen. It is worth it, however, if you are brave enough, to pay a visit to this province
during the annual 'Horse With Wings' festival, where the locals paint black stripes down their faces,
prance around on lively horses, and revere an effigy of the Hi-Greylander, dressed and painted to look
as sinister as themselves! NOT for the faint of heart!
