Hero Province
The land that time forgot.
Best described as the land of contrasts. On the one hand there are tranquil meadows, with small 'arty'
communities, that often gather along the coastal areas where Hero Province borders their Tokalah
neighbours, for their annual 'Earl Grey(eyes) Tea Making Festival'. But further to the north is Loch
Lurker which, although in itself, is quiet and secluded and not often visited by tourists it is overlooked
by the ominous "Walks -in the Night Pass" which leads one to the border post into Schweigeronia.
How to describe the Pass? (also known as Mount Greymore) ...well, it's said to have taken an army of
artisans, armed with blasting powder, 40 years to complete ...or alternatively it took one crazy painter
three rainy afternoons...she then carved herself a mountain eyrie/studio and has been living in the most
easterly figure's nostril for the past several years with the unfortunate result that on very cold days
(and after she's stoked up the fire) it looks like there's smoke billowing out of Michael's ears! Some of
the more proprietary residents are not impressed and want to evict her ...but she maintains it's a great
deterrent against the Schweigeronians!
Apart from the occasional invasion not much goes on in Hero Province. Visitors to the area, however,
must not miss the chance to catch a glimpse of the magical 'Lurker Castle', rumoured to be home of the
queen of lurkers herself, Nessie, the 'form-shifter'. It is said that at times, as the mists waft mystically
off the loch, one can, (if conditions are 'just right') glimpse this strange woman as she metamorphoses
from beast to beautiful highland lass, at will. No cameras allowed.
