Saiyan Growth and Size
Top: "This extra musculature greatly increases the strength and bulk of a male Saiyan, making him a visually daunting opponent, intimidating even when not roused to battle." Radditz, the older brother of Goku (Kakarot), at an approximate age of 30-35. Well past his fourth spurt phase, Radditz shows us the inherent power and dangerousness of a grown male Saiyan even while relaxed.
Bottom: A group of purebred Saiyans of varying ages and heights, this spread shows us the natural strength and size of Saiyan males at their full growth. Nappa (Prince Vegeta's attendant and man-at-arms), a middle-aged Saiyan of approximately 60-70, and Radditz (see above) have passed their fourth spurt phase, while Goku is probably just entering his at the time of this picture (DBZ Saiyan Saga). Prince Vegeta's bloodlines effectively negated his third spurt phase (see article "Old-Type Saiyans"), but he is approx. 5 years older than Goku and essentially through with his fourth phase.
