"I'm so exhausted!" Cordelia exclaimed as she kicked off her shoes and pulled back the comforter. Slipping into bed, she reached over to ser her alarm before slinking down.

Pulling the covers up to her chin, she mumbled, "If I ruin any more clothes because of this job, then I swear I'm gonna force Angel to set up a wardrobe pension fund."

And with that thought, she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.

"Where am I?" Cordelia asked, turning around in a circle. She was in what seemed to be a hotel lobby. An old 1930s style lobby. The one that would have been a haven for the old-Hollywood acting community. She could picture handsome rugged stars like Cary Grant standing by the elevator with a young blond starlet proudly displayed on his arm.

"Wait a minute." she said, turning around a few more times. "I've seen this before. Oh..I know! The Roosevelt Hotel!"

The Roosevelt Hotel.

She couldn't believe that she was actually here. She'd heard all about this hotel, the myths and rumors associated with the Roosevelt were infamous. And so were the people who stayed here. Marilyn Monroe, Cary Grant, Harry Houdini...they even staged the first Oscars here.

"It looks like it hasn't changed since then." she commented, noticing the velvet chaise couches with the oil lamps hanging high in the sky.

Walking deeper into the lobby, she noticed that she was having a difficult time moving. She glanced down and gasped. She was wearing the most exquisite dress she'd ever seen. Even more exquisite than some of the Versaces her mother had worn, before the unfortunate incident that is.

The dress was a mother-of-pearl color, with tiny sequins adorning the entire dress. It was sleeveless, with plunging neckline that showcased her cleavage nicely. 'Thank God for the Wonder Bra.' she thought to herself as she ran her hand down the bodice.

The dress's specialness didn't end there. She turned her head slightly to notice that in the back, a long slit ran up the middle of her dress, ending just above her knees. Leaving both nothing and everything to the imagination.

"Okay. Now, I'm confused." Cordelia said, looking down at her attire then back to the room. "I had better be dreaming or else I'm going to be taking a one-way trip to the funny farm."

Just now realizing that no one else was in sight, she idly wondered where everyone was. 'Great. Alone, in a deserted lobby...now, tell me how many horror-chick movies start out this way.', she mused, as she continued through the vast lobby, her eyes peeled for any sign of life.

Coming up to a corridor, Cordelia saw two huge mahogany doors on her left. Curious, she went over and yanked them open, almost falling over from the force.

"Hello, Midas!" she exclaimed as she stepped inside.

Standing before her was one of the most beautiful ballrooms she'd ever seen. It was gold with a black motif accenting the room. The walls were dark with wrought iron lamps painted gold to match the huge vases of flowers heaped in the corners.

Clusters and clusters of tables were situated around the room, the gold tablecloths matching perfectly with the dark chairs outlined in gold.

Cordelia stepped even further inside, the click-clack of her high heels the only sound in the room. Tilting her head up, she noticed the lavish chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. The jewels sparkled like stars in the universe and she knew that they had to be the real deal. If there was one thing Cherie Chase had taught her, it was to spot a real diamond a hundred miles away. And this was the real thing.

'Well, at least Mom was good for something,' she thought wirily.

As she progressed further, Cordelia's instincts kicked in. She wasn't alone. If there was one thing she learned from Mr.Sulky, it was a sixth sense.

"Hey!" she yelled. "Who's there?"

As a response, the lights went off, leaving her in total darkness. "What the..?" she exclaimed, as the chandelier lit up again, the only one being the exact one she just happened to be standing under.

"Don't move." A deep voice bellowed from somewhere in the back of the room. 'A man's voice?' she mused.

"Hey, look Mr. 'Too Scared to Make Yourself Known'.I do not take.." Cordelia barked, before the lights went out again, the room encloaked in total darkness again.

"Uhh.."

After what seemed like an eternity, the chandeliers on the outer edges of the room came on, casting a moonlit glow over the room.

And this time, much to Cordelia's chagrin, she wasn't standing by herself.

She could feel a warm breath on the back of her neck, blowing softly causing the hairs to sway slightly. From the breath, she instinctively knew that he was tall and solid, the angle of his breath on her neck helping her out.

Before she could say anything, a pair of strong hands clamped down on her shoulders, holding her in place."I said don't move, Cordelia," he whispered in her ear, causing her to involuntarily shiver.

"How did you know my name?"

"That's not important." he drawled, his lips lightly touching her ear.

Even though this man was a stranger, she was enthralled to say the least."Now, listen..." she trailed off as his lips caressed her skin lightly before darting out his tongue to tease her earring. His lips moved their way down her neck to her shoulder before lightly tracing her collarbone.

Cordelia involuntarily tilted her head back, allowing him even more access to her skin. The feel of his lips was causing her to have spine-tingling shivers that left her wanting more. She was on fire, his touch alighting flames of desire in her. She momentarily forgot where she was, who she was, and more importantly who this man was and gave herself completely to him.

Pulling away from her, he gently turned her around to face him. Before Cordelia had time to process what was happening, he crushed his lips to hers, his mouth taking possession. Sucking and biting, he urgently coaxed her mouth open and Cordelai could do nothing but comply.

Opening her mouth slightly, his tongue invaded instantly, tangling with hers heatedly, claiming his territory.

She'd never been kissed like this before. Not even Xander on a good day, could make her body quiver and shake like this man's kiss. She felt his tongue swipe the roof of her mouth and she moaned, wrapping her arms around him.

She felt his strong arms answer back, pulling her flush against him, feeling the heat and hardness of his body pressed against her.

Determined to drive him to the brink as he had succeeded to do with her, Cordelia dug her hands into his hair, yanking him down to deepen the kiss even more. Her nails lightly scratched his head, causing him to tremble slightly.

She smiled to herself. If there was one thing Cordelia Chase knew how to do, and do well, was kiss. She wasn't just being overconfident, she was telling the truth. Why else was she able to date seniors when she was only just a freshman?

Deciding to up her ante a bit, Cordelia lightly, teasingly ran her tongue across his teeth before pulling it back into her mouth, knowing full well that he had to follow her, if he wanted to continue the kiss.

And she was right.

He moaned as she teased him, her tongue darting around his, playing a game of tag with her tongue. He pulled her closer, if that was even possible, and ran one hand down her back to rest possessively on her behind. While the other grasped her head, allowing him to be in control once again.

She shivered, wondering again how she'd lost the upper hand. Not truly caring, she let herself go, succumbing once again to the passion of his kiss.

Needing air, he pulled back, his breath coming in short gasps, his chest heaving from the heated union. He noticed her flush face and equally shortness of breath and grinned.

"Cordelia.", he whispered, his voice like molasses, his arms gently holding her now.

"Hmmmm?" she answered, huskily.

Regaining her senses for a moment, she blinked a few times, her eyes adjusting to the semi-darkness of the room. She found herself staring into the most intense green eyes she'd ever seen. They were dark jade, lust and desire reflected in there. She'd never seen eyes like that before.

Wait a minute.

She knew those eyes.

She'd seen them almost every day for the past three years but never before realized how truly mesmerizing they could be.

Clearing her throat, Cordelia asked in a whisper, "Giles, is that you?"

He nodded, a grin lighting up his face. He leaned in, planting a hard, quick kiss on her lips before breaking away. "Surprised?" he asked," Didn't expect the tweedy tact guy, did you?"

She shook her head, her mind still trying to process that this was Giles. No longer the tweed-clad librarian she'd remembered, but more like a cross between James Bond and the Taster's Choice guy. Except ten times sexier.

He was dressed all in black, his suit made of silk, which rubbed enticingly against the sequins of her dress. It molded nicely to him, allowing her to see the firmness and subtleness of muscle on his body.

He was gorgeous.

"Why weren't you like this in High School?", she asked aloud, her arms still around his neck playing with his earring.

"How do you know I wasn't?" Giles asked, a serious tone to his voice.

Noting the seriousness of his voice, Cordelia replied regretfully, "I guess I didn't look hard enough." She gazed at him for a brief moment, before flashing him a sincere smile. "But, I'm looking now."

"And what do you see?"

She studied him a bit, her eyes sweeping across his face, taking him all in. Tightening her arms even more, she pressed herself closer, feeling his heat and hers combining beautifully.

"You.", she answered simply but without elaboration. There was no need for it, both of them knowing what she was saying was truth.

In response, Giles tightened his hold on her and captured her lips once more, kissing her as passionately and as tenderly as before.

'Hmmm...Giles..', she thought happily, her arms embracing him even more.

Suddenly, he sucked her bottom lip into his mouth, and she groaned deeply. Her last thoughts slipping away as she surrendered herself to his kiss....

*******

BRRRIINNGGG!!!!!!!

Cordelia groaned and reached over to turn her alarm off. Sitting up, she sleepily rubbed her eyes, mentally cursing the alarm for interrupting one of the most erotic dreams she'd ever had.

And it was about Giles, nonetheless.

Drawing her knees up, Cordelia said aloud, "Giles and I kissing....", she trailed off, the sensuous dream coming back to her in full force. It was as electrifying and as nerve ending as before; her body shivering at the memory.

Throwing back the covers hurriedly, she jumped out of bed and started to pace her room, searching.

"Now, what did I do with his number?"
