Why Angel and Cordelia? They seem to really accept each other.. yeah, she's bitchy and he's broody, so what, kind of thing. They understand each other so well and are really more alike than either of them had realized before this. They don't have to pretend with each other. If she is having a shallow moment, she can and he will still support that. If he gets a little emotional, or goes off the edge, she is still going to be right there.  They can make each other laugh, cry, be angry, or just comfortable to know the other is there. I think this is the most adult relationship either of them has had (whatever you label it, and however old Angel is.)  Buffy and Angel really can't say the same.. it was like sneeking around, even when everyone knew about them, doing something they shouldn't, flaunting and trying the forbidden. This would never happen with Cordelia and Angel, they are more realistic, and know each other better, I think than Buffy ever knew them or herself. Subtext Recommended Episodes:
