The Melbourne Skyline

Melbourne is a well designed city and the CBD is a one square mile grid system of streets but what a mix of architectural styles - everything from old bluestone buildings built in the gold rush era (from 1851) alongside all styles of modern architecture. At first it looks like a real mish mash but it certainly grows on you after a while. While the skies were always a leaden grey, there was too much to see on ground level to take much notice of them.
