The Mighty Murray River

The mighty Murray River forms part of the border between NSW and Victoria and eventually finds the sea near Adelaide, South Australia so it is a river of three states. It starts in the high country of The Great Dividing Range. The dominant eucalypt is the Murray River Red Gum (Eucalyptus camaldulensis). Silver wattles (Acacia dealbata) also line the banks of the Murray providing food for the Leadbeater's Possum which is the fauna emblem of Victoria.
