I was just wakened by a ghost who walked into my room, came near the bed (I sleep with my head towards the middle of the room, with my feet facing the window because the outside noise bothers me a lot), sighed a "Hum" and continued to my desk, touched something, turned around, and left. Of course this is the first time I ever left the door open!
I heard its feet sort of "dragging" - but not a creak or any of that sort, small shuffling feet, so I am guessing it's a young boy, 4 or 5 or so, and by dragging, I mean he sounded disappointed. I know he leaned over to take a look at my face and I resisted from opening my eyes, as I had just sort of come out of a strange dream of the book which I had just been reading before I went to bed.
Now lately strange weather had come across here - sort of humid and muggy and hot, which is unusual, for this length of period, probably about 3 weeks now - especially in Southern California, about 4 miles from the beach. I have lived in SoCal for about 13 years and it has never been this muggy.
Besides that, I felt that my apartment had changed a little bit lately - this week I have felt an infestation of fleas and ticks, so I have been dispersing chemicals to abate the nuisance; however, now that I just experienced this spirit, I don't know if the fleas and ticks are related - because for the life of me, as I vacuumed them up, I have only collected a mere sliver of the hundreds that I "thought" were jumping all over me. I know at least some are there or were there as I have bites on my legs. I still feel them somewhat all over me, tickling me, as I sit here at the desk where I first felt these little "tickles" - could this energy be the spirit, trying to communicate?
When I was lying there, I was frozen solid, it was absolutely still and quiet and I could not hear the outside noises as usually as I did, every night - not even the freeway which is only 500 yards away at the crest of the hill. I felt sweaty, and the room was still as I have never felt it to be.
I have only lived in this apartment for about a year and a half, but had not noticed anything odd. I know that since I was a child I have not had much luck sleeping properly at night, and I know I have probably had similar experiences before but never really took mind of them - until now.
This apartment is a 2-Bedroom place on the Upper floor of a 2-storey building, typical 60's California complex. Mine faces the street. I had a roommate until a few days ago, but he was a temporary guy who stayed for only 5 months while he settled a little, since he had just come out from New York. We worked together on the same movie.
I thought someone had broken into the apartment - I have a balcony off the living room, to which the screen was closed but the sliding door was open. I always have a fear of someone climbling up and creeping in - but it has not happened. I know some friends who have had their place broken into by such methods, so I am always on the lookout, but then I have no weapons, so I will probably play dead if it ever did.
But I know this was a child. He felt large at first simply because of my imagination, but when he expressed the sigh of disappointment, he immediately felt like a child to me. After he left, I turned over, and tried to see if he would come back - to which we all know, he would not.
Thank Goodness I could write this down. I feel much better. I still feel kind of cold and clammy and still get goosebumps, and still feel the ticks jumping on my legs as I type this, and the hair on my body and legs keep flicking out in different places -
Please let me know what you think.
