The Committee appreciates that provision of SWIFT for all SSI exporters will entail large costs, but the banks should consider providing such services at least for big SSI clusters. During discussions with the Chairmen of Banks, we were informed that most of the banks either possess or have already initiated action to install SWIFT in branches providing foreign exchange facilities.
