In 1993, when [info]trianglehoe  and [info]mikedelight were but lads, they penned an incredible reworking of a boring night wandering around a country town.

In 1997, [info]mikedelight published a 64 page mini comic depicting the 'so called events' of that boring night. Dudley Simmons: Dreamer

It is now 2004, over ten years since its original incarnation and I have now posted that mini comic online. (just click on the cover or the mirror sites)

The following is a review by Scott Pollard published in Issue 18 of Comic Edge circa 1997. Once upon a time published by the Australian Cartoonist Group.

"A fascinating semi-autobiographical comic about how drug experimentation can open up the mind.
Two young lads get stuck into some vodka and discover that the rumours going around about a certain brand of hay fever tablets can have hallucinogenic effects are very real indeed.
Dudley Simmmons ([info]mikedelight ) finds himself confronted with Marvels Daredevil character and the superhero teaches him an important lesson about life.
His friend Thetos ([info]trianglehoe) becomes obsessed with 'chikkens' and learns a lesson of his own as well. It all sounds absolutely bizarre but Mike spent almost four years drawing and redrawing this comic until he was satisfied it reflected his own real life experiences so it is a project attempted in all seriousness.
Mike pushed his art in several different directions in order to get the effects he desired and the final mix of different art styles and collage works rather well. Each copy also includes the micro zine Hey Joe which is pretty damn good too. Mike takes a few big risks with this comic and it pays off."

Its not that good really, but it was fun making it. It was originally planned to be a trilogy but I never got around to finishing the other two parts. But maybe one day.

One last warning, this site is graphically intensive and the file sizes reflect that.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it but I won't be too offended if you don't.[info]trianglehoe on the other hand, will be devastated.

"Lovely to see the old comic dusted off for a new form of media. At my
count it has been novelised, in comic form and now on the world wide
web! Still one of my most favourite stories (even though we wrote it)"
