The year of 1987 is the tenth anniversary of our college. According to a
traditional Chinese saying, it takes ten years to grow a tree but a
hundred to cultivate a person. Although ten-year history seems only a
small fraction of the time required to cultivate people, it is nonetheless long
enough for us to witness numerous trees that flourish and mature in our
school yard. If here we are to recount the blessings of God, it will
surely take many more pages. However, we can quote, as a summary of His
deeds, Chapter7 Verse 12 of I Samuel from the Bible, which reads, "Hitherto
the Lord has helped us." May this college be able to nurture more children
whom He loves and may all those students who pass through the gates of
this college understand the true meaning of living for Christ.
