Dumplings in Thin Syrup (²¢´ö¤Y)
Ingredients:
Glutinous rice flour 56 g
Tang flour 14 g
Warm water 3 tbsp
Peanut butter 2 tbsp
Icing sugar 2 tbsp
Water for syrup 0.3 l
Sugar 1 1/2 tbsp
Ginger 1 slice
Method:
1. Prepare filling:
Mix peanut butter with icing sugar.
Divide the mixture into 10 portions.
2. Prepare dough:
Sieve glutinous rice flour and tang flour together.
Make a well in the center and add in 3 tbs. of warm water.
3. Shape the dough into a roll and divide into 10 portions.
4. Roll each portion into a ball, flatten slightly and add in the peanut butter
mixture. Seal and form into a ball.
5. Dissolve the sugar in the water and add in 1 slice of ginger.
6. When the syrup boils, add in the dumplings and boil for a few minutes. It is
ready when dumplings float to the top. Serve hot.
