Sammy Davis, jr.
Beverly Hills, California
A two Stutz owner
In a press-release from about 1976, Stutz made the above statement.
Sammy Davis, jr. got a dark colored Blackhawk in late 1973 or early 1974.
The car-magazine "Hot Cars" produced a folder showing a gold-metallic colored car of 1972, stating that the car was built for Mrs. Sammy Davis, jr.
I got a video-tape of a show named "Chico and the man", featuring Mr. Sammy Davis, jr. and his
1972 Blackhawk
The show is about 22 minutes,
was originally taped in 1975, and was rebroadcasted in 2001 on the American
TV channel "TV-land".
It's a real good show, of course
because of the Stutz, which isn't the main character of the show, but on
stage all the time...
In 2001 there was an auction, organised by "The Auto
Collections", they showed a
1972 Blackhawk, that was told to be preowned by Sammy
Davis, jr.
This car has the VIN: 2K 57Y 2P 139126
I'm not sure, but perhaps the car was repainted. We will know, when we found out the VIN of the car, that was photographed for the "HotCars"-folder.

In Fabruary 2000, I discovered at DejaVu-Cars the following picture:
They sold the car to Classic Cars International.
