Elvis Presley

Memphis, Tennessee

Has four Stutzes. The only car Elvis personally drives.

In a press-release from about 1976, Stutz made the above statement.

In a press-release of the Stutz Bearcat II, the following statement was made:

Elvis Presley eventually bought five; he gave two away as special presents.

Elvis Presley bought the very first production car of the new Stutz Motor Company.

Jules Meyers and Elvis Presley

Jules Meyers, first Stutz dealer gives Elvis Presley the keys for the Blackhawk.

1971 Blackhawk

Butch Sedlow took this photo, several years ago.
The first Blackhawk was crashed, and later it was restored (with the help of the Stutz founder, Mr. O'Donnell), but obviously the radiator grill and the front lights are not original.

1971 front

Same car, same location. This photo comes from the collection of "stutz3".

Graceland Stutz

Scott Gilkey visited Graceland, when the car were presented indoors.
Please have a look at the rear window.
Only the two prototypes had this size for the rear window. The later cars showed a smaller one.

Elvis Presley bought another 1971 Blackhawk, later.

Elvis' 2nd Blackhawk

1971 Blackhawkrear-view

These two pictures were given to me by "stutz3".
They show Elvis' second Blackhawk.
You can see the different rear window, which is a "standard" one.

I think Elvis third Stutz was a white model of 1972.

Jules Meyers / Elvis Presley

Again, Jules Meyers hand over the keys to Elvis Presley.

(Thanks to stutz3 for the photo!)

Elvis' fourth Stutz was a 1973 Blackhawk.

This postcard, showing the car in front of Graceland.

These photos, also made by Scott Gilkey, show an interesting detail.
The rear-lights were only used in 1973.

1971 and 1973 Blackhawks

These two photos come also from the collection of "stutz3".
