UPDATE 17 November 2002 - Wow! Finally, after almost two years, I am able to update my page again! There was some problem with the editting program. Well, the site gets a second wind ;) I've added 33 albums to the main index, did some minor clean-up and removed the cursor thingy because I learned it downloads a program to other people's computers, which I did not know, and do not approve of.
UPDATE 27 October 2000 - Okay Okay... its been awhile since I updated the log... but its being done now. I've added the albums I've acquired during this time, and will also do some lyrics. I've been getting CDs of new music by 80's groups and I've also got a few more video collections. I'm thinking about adding a 'spotlight' section with a new band being highlighted... its a thought. I've also added a new imbedded cursor... I think it looks cool, and goes with the page. I kept it on the main page, as I think it would be annoying on the info pages...
UPDATE 15 June 2000 - Lots been done in the past couple of days. Added a new background, redid the top menu, and added Java script to make it dynamic. Added a guest book, and a internal site search engine. Make all the animated banner buttons for the various pages. Added 80s tech page, with beginnings of Atari and CED sections. Added a random riddle page, just for grins. Now to start the major job of updating the site links... !
UPDATE 20 May 2000 - Okay, okay... its been awhile since the last update entry. I have been adding my new albums very religiously. I've been spending more time with my lady, and only working on the web site sporadically. I have been listening to the great music of Hard Radio, and when I can, have been picking up the metal albums they play. Today's finds put us over the 600 mark!
UPDATE 09 October 1999 - Well, I've been busy updating my genealogy page and started gettin it transferred to my domain. I got lucky today, and picked up several good metal albums for half price at Half Price Books (they had a sale). When I get more time, I will continue adding cover scans and hyperlinks.
UPDATE 11 September 1999 - Added all music video tapes I have to VIDEOS page, and scanned all covers for same. Converted more titles to table form in index, and added more albums. All albums are on index, but still have several that need to be added to specific pages. Getting closer to 500.
UPDATE 25 July 1999 - Cleaned up the main page and made navigation frames smaller. Redid the banner to be less overbearing and added icons for alphabet. Still needs a little more tweeking.
UPDATE 20 July 1999 - Continuing to improve the HTML code throughout the site. Began putting the main index in table form, and cross-linking with the albums. This is only active with the 'A' artists as they are the only ones with the name tags used as targets. Also added new records to index and more to the pages.
UPDATE 08 July 1999 - Well, two weeks have passed before the new site upgrade allowed me to start updating my page again. I have added a few more albums to the index, but have several more to go and want to continue adding lyrics. I found several hard to find albums, which has made me very happy, and I have started to collect specific Bangles vinyl. I'm thinking of adding a spotlight page for specific artists... but I think I'll catch up and get what I have in better shape. I also have to add the movie sound tracks... they have songs as well as different versions of popular ones. 400 now broken, lets go for 500!
UPDATE 26 June 1999 - Added Song with Lyrics hyperlinked page. This will make it easier to find a particular song, and artist. Also, for the 'A' artists I added links from the name list to the album sections below. As usual, I've added new albums to the collection and the Index... about to break 400.
UPDATE 17 June 1999 - Registered with search engines (Yahoo!, Lycos, etc). Added a ton of lyrics. Set up the frames for the site and added the new banner/logo. I am thinking on how to start cross referencing the artist names/albums/songs and making them hyperlinked.
UPDATE 12 June 1999 - Well, last night I picked up two more video albums, so I decided to go ahead and start listing the videos on my site as well. Anyone who enjoyed the music of the 80's knows how important videos were. This was the time when MTv was really music television, and you could leave the TV on all day and jam to great tunes. UPDATE 11 June 1999 - I've added more lyrics (Poison, GnR, Motley Crue, Twisted
Sister, Kingdom Come and Whitesnake) for the albums I have. Also added more albums
I've gotten. Still thinking about moving the singles to their own page. I've
physically separated them in the collection. I've found some internet radio sites
that are excellent. I've added Hard Radio and I'll be adding more in the near future.
UPDATE 28 May 1999 - I've let the cataloguing of my collection slip a bit, but its
been a hectic Spring. My niece was born in March, and other projects have sucked
the time from my schedule. I have always been adding newly acquired albums to the
index, tho. I will spend some time this weekend to add to the main album pages,
and perhaps some lyrics. I am also thinking of moving the 12" singles to their
own page. I will also add the movie soundtracks to the index page.
UPDATE 31 January 1999 - Well, work continues on the page, slowly but surely. I
spent some time adding some more lyrics. I've also added a lyrics count for a
quick reference. Also, I've added the Update Log as a seperate page to keep from
cluttering the main page.
UPDATE 01 January 1999 - As some of you have noticed, I had to move the entire site
due to technical difficulties at the old site. Its much better now, because I
now have 20 meg instead of just 5. I have had to do some code adjustment, as
well as catch up on recording all my vinyl. Well, its done! I have started to
scan in more covers, and add more lyrics. There are still a few loose ends to
clear up (like adding a page for these updates!) Peace =)
