1000ad
Ding! Ding! You, Chrono, hear Leene's bell ringing in the distance. Your mother wakes you up, and talks about you wanting to go to the Millenial fair. Go downstairs, and you will get a chance to name Lucca, your best friend. Don't leave just yet. Talk to her again to get an extra 200g for allowance. Now go to the mayors manor and go up the srairs. Talk to the old man between the beds twice to get 300g. Now go to the fair, the big place with the balloons. Here is a list of things to remember while at the millenial fair:
Go forward and up the steps. You see a girl. Bump into her. After you get up, don't go after the pendant, talk to her first. It will help later on. Then get the pendant and give it back to her. She will ask to join you. Let her. You now have a chance to name her. Her name is Marle . Now, go to the left and fight gato to get 15 silver points, (four times works best) or go down to the racers to get 20 silver points (do this four times as well). You can do anything else you want too, just get 80 silver points. Save your game, then go into the house of horrors. (to find out how many silver points you have, talk to the lady in front of it) Pick the game for 40 silver pts. Listen to what the man says, and imitate the clone. If you win, you get a clone delivered to your house. If you lose, try again with your other 40 points. Then you can just restart the game if you lose again and try again. Go to the center of the fair, and talk to one of the girls around the fountain. Then, Lucca's slideshow will open and you can enter. Wait until Taban's done talking and go talk to Lucca.(If you are playing new game+, don't touch the sparkling object on the left telepod. It will take you to 1999ad, and you will most definately die in the hands of Lavos. After demonstrating the telepod, go talk to Marle. She'll try, then dissappear. take the pendant and go after her.
600ad
You are in a clearing, and the portal dissappears. Here, if you have not done so before, you will encounter your first battle. The imps do about 10hp of damage to you. After that, leave the clearing. You now encounter two more imps. After this battle, just don't touch the imps playing with the roly and you'll be fine. Head into the houses if you like, heal at the inn, and buy a dart gun for Lucca if you haven't spent your 1000g allready. Now head into guardia forest and stay near the trees to your left. If you're careful, you won't have to fight. If you head towards the right, there are two bushes after the first turn. If you press "A" on the one to the left, you'll get a free shelter(you can get it every time you go through the forest). Continue through the forest. Then enter the castle. After Leene saves you from the guards, if you had to fight, go to your left and sleep in the knights quarters. Then head up the naim stairs. In the throne room, go up the stairwell to the right. You'll find yourself in Leene's room. Talk to her, and she'll dismiss the maids. Then She will reveal her true identity, Marle. She was mistaken for the real Queen Leene, and was brought here. Then, after thanking you, she dissappears. Head back down the stairs. Here comes Lucca, saying that Marle is really Princess Nadia from their own time. She explains how you have to save Queen Leene who was captured by monsters. Now go to the forest, equip Lucca's dart gun, and fight monsters until you've learned dual tech Fire spin. Now go to the cathedral. Talk to the nun by the organ. Then, a sparkling object will appear. Press "A" on it, and you'll discover that that belongs to Queen Leene. Then you will be attacked by monsters. Use fire spin on them, since they are pretty weak against it. When you finish, Lucca will be attacked by a hidden monster, then saved by a frog. He will join you, and his name is Frog. Go to the forest and teach him slurp cut. Then, return to the cathedral. Play the organ, and a hidden door will open. Be sure to be healed up, and do your best to avoid monsters. In the main hall, go up the stairwell to the left, and at the very top, there is a sword for Chrono. Equip it, and go down to the first door at the top of the stairwell. Touch the egg to get the bromide, and you will be attacked by monsters. The bromide can become useful later on. Then go into the door farther up, with the spikes in front of it. Go near to the wall and you'll be able to go around the spikes and push the switch. then enter the door. In a container, there is a sparkling object. touch it, and you'll get a power tab. Use it on a character with weak attacking skills. Then go down the stairs, and through the hall to the middle. through that door is a save point, the object with the four sparkling dots. walk through it until you hear a ching! sound and then (if you've fought alot) press the "X" button, and use a shelter. Then you save, and continue. Go up the stairs, and down either of the stairs to the side. The one you go down will turn into a slide and you can't get up again. then, if you chose the right stairwell, press the switch. the spikes in the room next door will go down. now continue up, and go through the hall. then go down the door to the left, don't press the switch in that one, and go up the stairs. Now save and fight the monsters in the room that used to have the spikes. Then open the chest to get a sword for Frog. Equip it, and play the organ to open a door in the back hall. Go through that door and runas fast as you can to avoid any fights. Save on the save point, then go into the veeeeery last door. Here, you'll battle Yakra.
Yakra
Dual techs work well on Yakra. be sure to heal with frog's slurp or with tonics after group attacks or after someone's hp begins to flash. Heal directly after his needle attacks, as they do alot of damage. Yakra has 920hp. for defeating him, you get 50exp, 5 tech, and 600g.
You'll return to the castle with Leene, and then frog will leave. Get Marle, and then try to leave. you'll see frog. He'll say goodbye, and you will now return to your own time with Lucca's new invention, the GATE KEY .
1000ad
Lucca will leave, and Marle will ask you to take her back to the castle. Take her back, and you'll be put into a trial for abducting the princess. Answer the questions however you like. Either way, you'll be put in jail and will be executed in three days. There are two ways to bust out. One (the bad way) is to come up to the gates and annoy the guards. They will let you out, and you'll have to try to escape all by yourself. The other way is to wait until the three(rather short) days are over. You'll be taken to the guillotine, and Lucca will come to save you. In this way, go and release the struggling boy in the guillotine in the room below, then follow the sleeping guards, pressing "A" on them to get Mid Tonics, to escape and fight the Dragon Tank.
Dragon Tank
The dragon tank has three parts to it:
the head
the main body
the grinder, or wheel
Hid the head with weapons only. Any form of Lightning or Fire tech attack will do no good. Kill the head first, and heal with the mid tonics when the grinder does it's crushing move. Then use fire spin or slash on the main body and wheel. The head has 600hp, the grinder has 208hp, and the body has about 270hp. For defeating it, you get 40exp, 5 tech, 500g.
Then, you and Lucca escape and she runs out of ammo. You try to break through the soldiers, and Princess Nadia (Marle) stops them. The chancellor brings the king out, and you, Lucca, and Marle all escape to the forest with the soldiers in hot pursuit. You come to a clearing with a gate. Finding yourselves trapped, you have no choice but to enter the gate.
2300ad
You find yourself thrown out of the gate into a musty room with a door with a spooky crest in the back. Go to the Arris Dome below and buy some weapons. Now enter Lab 16. Avoid the rats, they steal tonics, and when you don't have tonics they steal money. The shadows are unaffected by weapons, but Fire spin works well. The mutant at the end has 300hp. You may be able to avoid it if you walk fairly near to it, but there are no guarantees. Now go to the Trann Dome. Heal yourself with the enertron. Save on the save point, and go to the cellar. Go through the platforms, and you'll come to a room with a big robot. This is the Guardian and it's Bits.
Guardian and Bits
Kill the bits with weapons, do not hit the guardian. Then after they have died, hit the guardian with everything you've got but be careful when the countdown reaches zero. The guardian will revive the bits, and you'll have to kill them again. Repeat the process until you have defeated the body. Each bit has approx. 200hp. The guardian has approx. 1200hp. For defeating the Guardian you get 300exp., 5 tech, 1000g.
Now continue into the back room. Everything is rotten. After getting the seed from the man, press the "A" button on him again to get a note about a rat. Now catch the rat on the platforms with the "A" button, then go down to the main room. Go to the console to the right that's shining and press "L" "R" and "A". The passageway will open. Now get through the robot and beetles and open the door. Go directly up and follow the grates. Then go to the next set of grates and enter the door at the end. There is a computer inside. Lucca will find another gate with it. Then Marle will press another button and you will see the coming of Lavos in 1999ad. Then you decide to save the future and battle lavos. Find your way back up to the Trann dome. Doan will give you a key to the Jet Bike in Lab36. Save your game and heal with the enertron. Then go to Lab 36. Try to start the jet bike and some robots will stop you. Johnny, the racing 'bot will stop them. He will challenge you to a race. Now Press"A" on the jet bike to start it up. Just try to stay next to or in front of him, and be sure to save one boost. Then when you're really close to the finish line, if you watch the map at the bottom of the screen, use a boost to win. Then exit and save. Now go to Proto Dome. After defeating the robots, you find a rusty old robot in the back. Lucca fixes him, and you get a chance to name Robo. Then, choose Lucca to go with you into the Proto dome, and have Marle stay behind. Now have robo shut off the lasers, and an acid will attack. They only have 10hp, but they have a very high defense. When one acid gets near an alkaline (the green ones) they will fuse chemicals, resulting in a chamical reaction. Heal after that. Now go to the elevator to the right. Go to the moving belt, and try to avoid the robots, or you will have to fight a series of five of them in a row. Now go to the crane up at the top. Press "B""B" and "X""A" to move the barrels. Then go back down and get to the treasure chest. Now go back up the elevator. Go to the Left elevator now, and go down Save your game and battle the acids and alkalines. Then the computer will boot up, and have robo make it open the hatch for the ladder. Go down the ladder and, after opening the chests, have robo work on the computer to turn off the lasers. Go up the elevator. Now, at the computer with the locked door next to it, press "X""A""B""Y". The door will open. Go up through the door and press the switch. The security system will go haywire. Go back down the ladder, and then try to escape, and some robots will block your way. They will beat up robo, and leave you to destroy. They are the R Series.
R Series
Use fire spin or cyclone twice for each row to win. When you are hit by a version of monster toss, have lucca heal with tonics. When one robot is left, it will use a bomb that will do a decent bit of damage to both of your people. Each robot has 150hp. for beating them, you get 480exp, 6tech, 600g.
Then you will take robo back to Proto dome. Lucca will fix him, and you will all enter the gate together.
The End of Time
You find yourself in the end of time. Talk to the old man near the lamp post. He will explain. Leave robo behind, because you will need magic, something robo doesn't have. Now try to leave and the old man will say, "Hey." Go back and talk to him. He will unlock the door. Talk to the cute fuzzy animal.( :-) ) He is Spekkio, master of war. He will teach your characters magic. Now go to the pillars of light (without fighting spekkio, or, "trying out your magic") and go to 65million bc. Without fighting any other monsters, go to the hunting range and fight the nu whenever it rains.Don't worry. The nu can't kill you. It has 1234hp. You get 30tech for winning.
Try to get at least Lightning2 for Chrono, Fire2 for Lucca, and Ice2 for Marle. Then rerurn through the gate. Now go to 1000ad.
1000ad
Go into the heckran cave after buying weapons from Melchoir the swordsmith. After battling the jin in a bottle and the octoblushes, stay near the wall in the next room. That way, you won't have to fight on the first "island". Don't go through the door on that "island". Go to the second one. You'll have to fight here. Then open the chests and continue through the door. Allways stay near the wall. It does keep you out of some fights. Then continue up through the hall and walk through the water to the place with the save point. Shelter and Save, then continue through the door to the Heckran.
Heckran
Weapons do very little damage to the Heckran. Use magic powers, your strongest ones, and heal after his yes indeed attack. When he says, go ahead, try and attack, heal your party and don't attack until he says brief counterattack break. Otherwise he will counter attack with stronger attacks. Heckran has approx 2100hp. For defeating heckran, you get 250exp, 10 tech, 1500gold.
Now jump into the pool to return to Truce. Go into Lucca's house to see her mom. Wait until Taban comes up and leaves. Then go downstairs and talk to him to get the Taban helm. Now, if you saved Fritz in the dungeon, go to the store. He will give you ten Mid Ethers. Save your game, and go through the gate in the fairgrounds. When you get to the end of time, go through the pillar of light to the far left.
65mil bc
Hunt nu's in the forest when it rains until you've learned Ice sword (or Ice sword 2) and fire sword( or fire sword 2). Now go to the end of time, go thtough the pillar in the top right hand corner to take you to 600a.d.
600ad
There is trouble in the Middle ages! Go to Zenan bridge, and talk to the knight captain. He will talk about the supplies from Guardia castle. Go through the forest and enter the castle. Then go right and down the stairs. Talk to the cook in the kitchen, and leave. when you are about to reach the steps in the center of the castle, the cook will stop you and give you jerky, and a power tab. (I think if you're not in new game +, you get a power meal, but I'm not sure...) Then go back to the bridge and talk to the knight captain. Say that these food rations are for them, and a battle will begin across the bridge. (it's impossible to not go through the battle, so you might as well give him the food). Then talk to the knight captain and say you'll help. He'll give you a gold helm. Equip it, and switch your party to Marle and Lucca. go across the bridge and defeat the skeletons first, then hit Ozzie. He'll run away and send Zombor to defeat you.
Zombor
Zombor is a huge skeleton monster. You see yourselves defeating in the intro, if you watched it. Defeat the bottom half first with fire or regular attacks (especially one of the fire sword attacks) because when the top half is defeated, it will drain all of the mp of the killer. Then defeat the top half by using only ice or regular attacks on the top (especially one of the ice sword attacks). After he drains your mp, and you've defeated him, exit the bridge and rest in a hotel. Zombor's top half has 960hp, the bottom half has approx. 800hp. For defeating zombor, you get350 exp, 10 tech, 1500gold.
Then go to the shop and buy necessary items, weapons, whatever. Now go to the denadoro mountains. Work your way up to the top.
Here are some things to do in the denadoro mountains:
When they play spekkio's music and you have to defeat the monsters, after you're done, exit through the side. Then, hidden in the leaves to you left is a treasure box. Open it and equip this weapon for robo.
On the monsters with the hammers, use fire attacks, then hit them.
At the point with the two birds, go over the water fall on the left side and open the treasure boxes. Then equip the silver stud and the silver earring, and exit.
You'll find yourelf in the area with the birds again. Go up to the side nearest to the birds, and you can talk to them! (useless fact).
When you get to the monster that looks alot likt spekkio, keep talking to him over and over. He'll give you a magic tab.
At the point witht he broken ladder and the bird throwing rocks( after the save point) to avoid a fight with the monsters, when you try to climb up the other ladder, wait until the bird is farthest away, then continue up the ladder. If this works, he'll jump to the other ledge. This doesn't allways work though...
Okay, now's your fight for the hilt of the sword, the masamune. First, the two little boys will turn into the two monsters, Masa and Mune
Masa and Mune
Use Lucca's hypno wave to put them to sleep, then attack only one of them. This will defeat both of them. Then they will say, "apart, Masa and Mune are powerless". Each one has 1,000 hp. Then, they will join together, to form
"Big and Ugly"
(I got that from Chrono Trigger temple) Hit him with your best attacks. This includes Ice sword 2, Fire sword 2, Lighting 2, etc. He has fairly strong attacks. Keep your hp up with Aura whirl. When he says he's storing tornado energy, hit him with crono's slash attack to neutralize it. This attack is fairly strong. Big and Ugly has 3,600hp. For defeating him, you get 500 experience, 10 tech, 1500 gold.
Then, they will seperate and join the sword, and you get the broken masamune. Now ride the wind, and go to the town on the bottom of the southern continent and enter Toma's house. Talk to him (the boy you saw on the mountain) and he'll give you the hero badge. Now go into the cursed woods (the ones nearby, not near the castle). Go to the top, and go into the bushes. Then you will enter a house. Suddenly, it's a frog, it's a toad, it's Frog who pops out of the roof (again). Talk to him, and he'll move to the treasure box. Talk to him again to get him to move away. Open the chest (If that's what you want to call it) to find the other part of the masamune. Now go back to 1000ad, Medina Village and go see Melchoir.
1000ad
Talk to him to learn that you need dreamstone to repair the Masamune. Then go back to the end of time, (I usually take robo because there is a very funny reaction from one of the locals) and go into 65mil. bc.
65,000,000bc.
You are attacked by a group of green scaly monsters. Hit them with lightning 2. then even more come and a woman comes out and takes out four of them. Attack the rest with lightning 2 again, and the woman will come back. She is Ayla . If you take Robo, she will make a big deal about him, which is kinda funny, and then take you to the Ioka village. Don't fight any of the monsters. Run away if you get into a fight. They're too strong for you right now. You can show them a thing or two later. Chnge your party to Lucca and Marle, then go into the chief's hut, and you'll see the chief of the village, Ayla again. She'll take you to a party. Dance with marle, eat Lucca's poi, talk to the dancers, and then to Ayla. She'll challenge you to a soup eating race. I have no help for you here, but "Good Luck"!
You'll wake up to find the gate key missing. You will automatically go to see Ayla. Take Robo (if you haven't trained him much, if not, then who cares who you take.) and go into the Hunting range. Fight nu's until Ayla has learned charm. Go into the trading hut and get everything he has, especially ruby vests. Then go into the forset maze. You will see Kino. Ayla will talk to him. Then go through the forest and save when you get out. Then enter the cave. Go through the holes, and hit the big green dinosaurs with lightning before attacking to lower their hp. Charm all the monsters to get some very useful items. Then you'll meet up with Azala. She'll send out Nizbel whether you tell her about the key or not.
Nizbel
Use lightning on him to lower his defense. Then hit him with your strongest powers, while hitting him with lightning every now and then. When he releases electrocution energy, heal immediately after, because this will do a good amount of damage. He has 4,200hp. (And you thought Big and ugly was tough). For defeating him, you get 500 exp, 10 tech. If you used charm on him, you get a third eye.
Then you'll leave Ayla and Kino, and return to the end of time. Then go back to Medina village.
1000ad
Get Melchoir to fix the sword, and bring it to Frog
600ad
Give the sword to Frog, then bring him to spekkio. He'll learn Water. Take him to 65mil. bc.
65,000,000bc
Teach him water2. Go back to 600ad.
600ad.
Go into the mountain to the right of the Denadoro Mountains and Frog will open up the crevice. Pay no attention to the little bat that follows you, for now. Fight the monsters, and avoid the ones near the turn or you will be chased out by a large group of rats. Check the dead soldier. The jugglers are the yellow monsters with the crossed arms. You won't see any at first, but you will later. Now Go into the castle. Go through each corridor. The three people in the corridor to the right (for instance queen leene and Crono's mom) will change, depending on who you have in your party. Talk to them now if you want, but avoid even touching them later. After going through each corridor, Ozzie will come out and make all of the people and things you saw monsters. Now go through the left corridor. You will meet Slash (or Sir Slush). Be sure to have Marle in your party.
Slash
Slash has two forms. The first one is weak, so hit him with whatever you've got. Heal after his attackattackattack attack. When he uses an attack that hits the party for about fifty damage, you have won. The second form is much stronger. He will use his slash attask on one, two, or all of your characters for about sixty damage. Heal after his Yes indeed attack, because it is very strong. About 100 hp of damage to one character. He has 5,200 hp. Fro defeating him, you get 1500exp, 15 tech, 3000gold. You also get the slasher sword.
Then go into the next corridor. avoid the people, and then attack flea.
Flea
Flea has two forms. The first one is very weak. Have Someone with high hit points kill it, because after it's dead, it will drain all of the mp of the character that kills it. Then the bat will fly up and become the real flea. Spincut, x-strike, and regular attacks work well. She will use chaos, sleep, and poison attacks, mostly on frog. Be sure to carry lots of Heals. When she uses the stare, one character will attack the entire party, so heal with Marle or tonics after that. Flea has about 4120hp. for defeating flea, you get 500exp, 10tech, 1000gold, and a magic tab.
Now go to the save point in Slash's corridor, and use a shelter. Then go to the save point in the main hall to be brought to another part of the castle. Hit the jugglers with magic first, then physical attacks, and keep switching until they're defeated. The outlaws are also strong. Sometimes they have a high physical defense, sometimes magic. Hit them with swords first, so you don't waste mp. Then you meet ozzie. He'll put you through lots of tests. Then you have to fight Ozzie.
Ozzie
Don't hit ozzie, hit the switches. for defeating him, you get 0exp, 0tech, 0gold. (In other words, you get absotively posilutely nada).
Now for the save points that appear. Use the right save point to recover with a shelter. The other one will bring you to Magus' lair. Run down the steps ignoring the bats. Go in the door. Walk forward, and the lights will come on. Then you will fight Magus.
Magus
MAgus is one of the toughest bosses to beat if you don't know what you're doing. He puts up barriers. The type of barrier is the type pf magic to hit him with. You can also hit him with physical attacks. Be sure to hit him with the Masamune, which Frog equipped earlier, to lower his magic defense. Keep attacking him like this until frog is doing very well with the masamune, hitting Magus for lots of points. Then hit magus with everything you've got, and he will not counterattack. Magus's strongest attack is Dark Matter. Be sure to heal after this because this does damage in the 200 range. Magus has 6666hp. For defeating him, you get 15000exp, 15tech, 3000 gold.
After you defeat MAgus, you will be sucked into a giant warp hole back into 65milbc.
65,000,000bc
You wake up from a dream in Ayla's hut. The northern woods are on fire. Go into the hut in the new clearing. It's a city. Get more stuff in the trading hut, and follow ayla into the Dactyl's nest. Find Ayla at the peak. You'll all ride the dactyl's. Go to the hunting range and Teach Ayla triple kick, and your other characters their strongest powers, if you like. Then go to the Tyrano Lair with the dactyls. Go through the open skull, and free the Laruba villagers and kino. He'll open the other skull. There's not much I can do to help from here. Charm all the monsters to get powerful weapons. When you get through, you'll see NizbelII.
NizbelII
Just hit this guy the same way you defeated Nizbel. He has 7,000hp. For defeating him, you get 880exp, 15tech.
Then you'll meet Azala and the Black Tyrano.
Azala and the Black Tyrano
Azala's easy. Hit her with everything you've got. Do not hit the tyrano yet. When she's gone, her Azala break will decrease your hp a little. Heal with MArle and Mid Tonics, and wait until the Tyrano says removes defense and is storing energy. Then hit him with your strongest techs. Triple techs work well. Besure to have ruby vests or other fire protection, because if he's not defeated before the countdown(which is most likely to happen) he'll hit you with a very strong fire attack. Heal and attack again. Azala has 2,700hp. The Blask Tyrano has 10,500hp. For defeating them, you get 1800ezp, 25tech. If you charm them, you get a power tab and a magic tab.
Then you'll fly away on the dactyls and watch as lavos blows up the tyrano lair. Then go into it and enter the gate.
12000bc
You're in a cave. explore and find the large building with the four domes around it. Enter and find yourself on the first continent of zeal. Go through the skyway farthest from the city to exit. Then save, and find the other skyway. You'll be teleported to Zeal's main continent. From here, explore the city, the plane (The blackbird) and anything else. Then enter the cave. Go into the yellow light. It may seem like nothing heppened, but you were teleported into another cave. Exit, and go into the next one. This one will bring you up near the castle. Go through the castle. You'll find Masa and Mune, talking about big sister Doreen at enhasa. This is the one you saw in the city on the first continent of Zeal (and the person I got that quote on the main page from). Continue to the top right and go in the door to the right. This is princess Schala's room. Janus will come in and part of the plot will be revealed. Now exit, and go through the door in the middle of the palace. Follow Schala and she'll open a door. Go up to the door and you'll try to open in with Marle's pendant. It doesn't work, so go to the door in the top left portion of the palace. Go up to the Mammon Machine and charge up your pendant. Now go to open the door. When you get to the throne room, Dalton will send Golem on you.
Golem
Golem is one of the tougher bosses in the game. Iron orb reduces one character's HP by half, and any attack you do, It will imitate, so use Marle's haste, and attack it often with different powers. The physical counterattack is fairly strong, so have Crono, Lucca, and Marle or Frog. Golem has 7000hp. If you win, you get 1000exp, 35tech, 2000gold. Charm gains you a Magic Tab.
The queen will then trap you. Schala will rescue you, and the profit will send you back to 65,000,000bc. Fly on the dactyls and leave through the gate. Now go back to the future (no pun intended). Go through the sewer. Here, you will meet Sir Krawlie.
Sir Krawlie
This worm shouldn't be counted as a boss, wut who cares. Watch out for his hp to 1 attack. He will do this when he is nearby a character, so heal with Marle. Krawlie has 500hp. For defeating him, you get 100exp, 5tech, 500gold.
Now go through the door in the back of the dome you see in front of the sewer access on this continent. Touch the sparkling objects to hear about Belthasar, Guru of wisdom. In the back room, you'll find a large machine. Go around back, then try to leave. You'll be confronted by a nu. This is the robot of the deceased Belthasar. He'll ask you to name the time machine. This is Epoch. Take Epoch, and fly to 600ad. go around and say no to all of the black boxes that you could not open before. Now fly to 1000ad and go around opening the boxes. If you did it right, the boxes will say that the object leveled up and became stronger. Now if you want, you can go back to 600ad and open them. Now, go back to 1000 ad, and find the blue triangle in Medina. You can turn it off now with your pendant and you get to choose between a sword or a helmet. I'd suggest the helmet, because they're very useful, and the sword's pretty weak. Now go to the future and open the doors in the Arris, Trann, and Bangor domes. (yes, Trann too. There's a door in the basement near the computer). Now go to 12,000bc. go to the Terra Village. Talk to the people, and save at the save point at the bottom. Take Ayla with you, and go into the Beast's nest. Charm the beasts for prism helms. Change your people to Crono, Marle, and Lucca. Then fight Blue Beast, Red Beast, and Mud Imp.
Blue Beast, Red Beast, and Mud Imp
For the mud imp, hit him with Crono's confuse and Spincut. Red beast, Marle's Ice. Blue Beast, Lucca's Fire. Falcon hit works well for me, and any physical attacks work on all of them. Whatever you hit them with, though, they will counterattack, so have a high HP. The beasts have 5000hp each, and the mud imp has 1200hp. For defeating them, you get 600exp, 16tech, 1600gold. Charm brings a Mermaid Cap, a Speed tab, and an Elixir.
Now you'll continue up the chain. Go through the Mountain of Woe and be sure to have Ayla in your party. Charm all of the Monsters to get helpful items and weapons. Battle the rubble to get 1,000 exp each time. It has 500hp, and will use a lock attack on your party making it hard to hit, and no techs can be used. Continue until you reach a chain, where as you climb up, the sky gets darker. Now equip and save, and wear red mails, black mails, and/or maybe a blue mail. This will help in the next battle so that you don't have to worry too much about your hp. Now you are ready to face Giga Gaia.
Giga Gaia
Defeat the hands first with Ice tackle and Ice sword two. Then hit the head with all you've got. Keep this up for a while, but eventually he will revive tha hands. If your party is wearing mails, you won't have to worry so much about your hp. Try to have Red Mail, Red Vest, and Black mail. This way, his attacks will heal your party, unless he uses a rather weak water attack he has. The hands have 2,000hp each. The head has 9,500 hp. For defeating Giga Gaia, you get 3000 exp, 30tech, and 3000 gold. Charm gains a speed tab from the body.
Now your party and Melchoir return to the Terra Caves as the Mountain of Woe collapses. Schala comes and says the Ocean Palace is finished, but Dalton comes and takes her away. Now you must return to Zeal and go to the main throne room, but first find the Nu that couldn't sell the items before. Say no to him, and he will sell them to you. Equip yourself, and go to the throne room. you'll see Dalton. You must battle him.
Dalton
Dalton is pretty easy. Heal after his iron orb attack, which will decrease that character's hp by half. He has 3,500 hp, so use your best attacks, like antipode three, ice sword 2, etc. You'll get 1000 exp, 20 tech, 2500 gold. He will burp and damage the whole party after you've defeated him (eew). Charm gains a Power Meal.
Now go into the beam of light that he enters, and you'll enter the ocean palace. Talk to Masa. You'll see Queen Zeal and her court, including the prophet, and Schala around the Mammon machine. Schala begins to power it up. Save and heal at the save point and enter the Ocean palace.
As you go through, there will be scouters, red scouters, and blue scouters. The scouters will counterattack anything but lightning magic, the red ones will counterattack anything but fire magic, and the blue ones will counterattack anything but ice/water magic, but you can hit them with physical attacks, and nothing will happen. On the left and right sides of this room, there are four smaller rooms. In one on each side there is a button in the center of the ground. You have to push both buttons in order to continue. When you push the button, you'll be attacked by two genie-looking monsters. One will be moving around like crazy. Kill him first, then hit the other one with your weapon. This will break it's shield so you can kill it. When you've pressed both buttons, go to the room below. There are entrances on the bottom left and bottom right. You'll know if there are two scouts (red or blue) going back and forth at intervals. Go past them and into a larger room. You should see four statues with scouts at the tops of them in the center. On the left side of this room, go to the door, and begin walking around on the portion that's connected to the wall on the left.Eventually, you'll see a small room with a treasure chest inside. There is a hidden entrance to this room on the side of it. Inside the chest there is a Demon Hit, which is pretty good. Now, go back to the middle of the main room you're in, and go between both sides of the room, and there'll be a switch. Press it, and a bridge will open in the room you were in before that lets you continue. After that, it's pretty simple. There's another room where you can't continue until you've flipped switches in two rooms on either side of the main room and pressed a central button again. You'll know you're there when you go towards the back of one of the side rooms and are attacked by three different colored scouts.
You'll reach a save point sometime after this. Save and go into the next room. Dalton will be there, and he'll call the Golem Twins.
Golem Twins
Just defeat the golem twins the same way that you defeated the first Golem. Be careful, though, because now that there are two, it's twice the counter attack. When you beat them, they'll both burp. (double eew). Each one has 10,000 hp, so use Luminaire or Flare if you have them, which you should by now. Ice sword 2 still works pretty well. For defeating them, you get 2000 exp, 70 tech, 4000 gold. Charm gets you a magic tab per beast.
Ok, after that, Dalton will say he's calling the Golem boss, but then something will happen in the next room that makes him run. You should go and save in the other room, and heal, then proceed to the room where the energy came from. A nu will tell you to turn back before he jumps off the bridge. Continue forward, and you'll see Queen Zeal, Schala, and the Prophet. The mammon machine's power will be raised to the max, and you'll use the red knife, which will become the masamune. Then Lavos will appear and begin to fight you.
Lavos
Ok, this is your first encounter with the real thing. His attacks are super powerful, which makes it VERY hard to win, but don't worry, because you aren't supposed to. If you do want to win, I wish you luck. Just hit him with your best attacks and heal after he uses "destruction rains from the heavens." Don't worry, this attack is much weaker when you fight him in 1999 ad. If you don't want to beat him, just stand there and let him have at you. If you defeat him, find the last section on fighting the inner core of Lavos. His outer core (what you're fighting) has about 10,000 hp.
After you've died, the prophet will appear and revert back to Magus. He will try to fight Lavos, but he will die as well. Then Zeal and Schala appear, and Lavos begins to suck everyone inside but Zeal. Crono can suddenly move. Go up to lavos, and challenge it. Crono will die, and everyone will be teleported back to where the mammon machine was. Schala will use her last bit of power to send everyone to safety.
You'll wake up in a hut from a bad dream. Crono isn't there, but epoch "followed" you, and is parked outside. An old man comes in and gives you Marle's pendant. Make sure that Ayla is in your party, for later. You should now go to the only place in the area you're in now that isn't a hut, although I can't remember what it's called. If you haven't talked to the woman with the sapling, do it now, if you want to save the forest in 600 and 1000 ad. Tell her to secretly plant it. I'll explain more later. Anyway, when you talk to the elderly man at the top of this area, Dalton and his men will appear, and eventually kidnap your group.
You'll wake up (again) in a room. You realize that all of your equipment and your money is gone. Go up the ladder to find that you're on a ship, the Blackbird. Go back inside, and someone in your group will point out that you can get into the air vents from here. If you go to the door, you can play sick, and kill the guard outside your room. Now there are two ways open for you to get your stuff back. You can wander about by leaving through the door where you just killed the guard, but you'll have to fight a bunch of monsters. If Ayla is in your party, though, you'll still be able to fight with her, but since the others don't have weapons, they won't be able to do anything. Or you can go through the vents, and go down the ladders and look through the grates to find your stuff. You'll have to get your first character's stuff back by way of vents, though.
After you've wandered around and gotten your stuff back, there's a door around there somewhere that'll take you up to the wing of the ship. If someone says that you haven't gotten all of your stuff back, you should go back, because you'll never get a chance to get it back again. After doing that, you can fight the various yellow globe monster thingies floating around. They're kinda like the rubbles on the mountain of woe. The cast lock, and they'll run away eventually, but they give a lot of exp and tech. On the bottom corner of the wing, you'll encounter the Golem Boss.
Golem Boss
This guy's a joke. He's afraid of heights, so he doesn't even attack you. He will run away, eventually, but if you hit him with your best attacks, everything should be ok. He's got 15,000 hp, so you should really try to beat him before he runs. If you beat him, you'll get 2500 exp, 40 tech, 2000 gold.
You'll finish fighting him, and someone will notice that epoch is flying. You'll jump onto your ship and fight Dalton Plus.
Dalton Plus
I don't get why he's called Dalton PLUS. He's still fairly simple to beat. He'll use iron orb, and a weaker form of the Golem's physical attack, but he's still got only 3500hp. When you defeat him, he'll try calling the Golem Boss, but get sucked into the void. You'll get 2500 exp, 40 tech, and 2000 gold.
You'll try flying the epoch, and you'll end up crashing the black bird. Then you'll land in the area with the huts that you were in before and begin looking for Crono. If you go into the place with the elder again (where Dalton got you the first time) everyone will be talking about a stranger that came looking for you. He's on the edge of the island. It looks kind of like a cave from the map. You go to the edge, and Magus greets you. He explains that his former identity was Janus. Then he starts insulting Crono. He gives you two choices. You can fight him, or you can walk away. If you fight him, the ending of the game will change, because Frog will become his true self again (Glenn) only he'll look different. If you walk away, he'll join your party. Either way, you get an amulet that protects your status. If you meet him with Frog in your party, and decide to fight him, it will be a one-on-one battle with Magus and Frog, so be warned. Anyway, he'll tell you that the key to getting Crono back is in the end of time or something like that. When you take off, the Ocean Palace will rise and become the black omen, which is where Zeal, the Mammon Machine, and three ugly mutant bosses await you. You can go in now, or you can wait until you've leveled up, and helped a bunch of people.
OK! This is the part of the game where you don't have to finish these events if you don't want to, and you can do them in any order you please. When you've done all the events you want to, you can either reach Lavos by way of the Black Omen (which will open up the new game plus option) or you can get to him with epoch, or through the bucket in the end of time. I'll have instructions on how to beat him at the end of this walkthrough.
Helping Crono
Yes, this is totally optional. First, you'll have had to get the clone from the millenial fair of him. Go to the end of time, and talk to the old man. He'll play a song, and before you leave he'll call you back. He'll give you the Crono Trigger (it looks like an egg) and he says that in order to figure out what you'll need you have to talk to Belthasar in the future. Remember the place where you got Epoch? The nu with the body of the guru guy? That's the one. Well, I'll save you some time and tall you that you have to get Crono's clone from Crono's mother.
1000 ad
Get the clone by pressing "A" on it. You'll have to talk to Crono's mother. Then you can leave. Go to the future.
2300 ad.
Use epoch to fly down to where you got it in the first place. You'll see the black ome floating in the air over it. Now go back towards the room where you got Epoch. Talk to the nu and he'll send out three poyozo dolls and tell you to go to death peak to get Crono back. Go up death peak. You'll see a poyozo doll, and it'll tell you to hide behind the trees when the wind blows, then it'll turn into a tree.hide behind the tree until the strong wind wtops, then run towards the next tree and hide behind it. This may take a few tries. Keep doing this until you reach the top. Now you just have to wander around. You'll eventually find a cave with a thing in it that looks like Lavos. This is the Lavos Spawn.
Lavos Spawn
Ok, take a deep breath, and repeat to yourself "this guy ain't so tough." then begin to fight him. He'll do a needle attack on your whole party, first, so heal after that. Remember not to hit his shell, because then he'll do a needle attack that's pretty powerful on that character. Triple kick and glacier do pretty well against him. Just keep attacking the head and you'll be fine. The head has 4000 hp. When you beat it, you get 747 exp, 120 tech, 500 gold, and an Elixir. Remember this, because there are two more just like it on Death peak.
Ok, now that that's done, keep wandering around. Make your way to the other side of the cave and exit it. There'll be a sparkly thing to the top left of the area you're in. Press it, and a door will open on the ground below. Head back there, and you'll have to fight another lavos spawn. Continue working your way around. Talk to the next poyozo doll, and try not to slip off of the bridge. The next poyozo doll you'll meet will tell you to push the shell, climb the shell. You'll soon encounter your last Lavos spawn. This time, the shell won't dissappear. Push the shell to the broken ladder above and to your right, and climb it. You'll soon reach the peak of death peak. You'll get up there, and try to revive Crono, but it won't seem to work. Then suddenly something happens and you appear at the exact point where crono was about to die. You go up to him and talk to him, and you'll replace him with a clone. Then, you'll return to death peak. Voila! You've just saved Crono.
Helping Fiona and Lara
Did you talk to the lady in 12000 bc with the mysterious sapling? Did you tell her to plant it? Good. Then go to 600 ad.
600 ad
Go to Fiona's house. There will be a whirlpool nearby. Go inside with Marle, Frog, or Magus, and then your best fighter(s), because the monsters down here are weak against water. Work your way to the bottom of the screen, and go down to the next level. You'll encounter the Retinite.
Retinite
It may look like zombor, but don't even think about trying to beat it that way. First, you have to get rid of the middle section/the core. Then hit it with water attacks, then attack it normally. Every time you use a physical attack, it raises it's defenses, but every time you hit it with water, it lowers it's defenses. Magic won't do any damage to it, though. I'd suggest having Marle, Frog, and Ayla. Marle and Frog for their water magic, and Frog and Ayla for their physical attack strength. You can change this combination, though. This guy's pretty hard and very annoying, but keep at it. The middle section has about 2000 hp, the top has 5000 hp, and the bottom has between 5,000 and 6,000 hp. for defeating retinite, you'll get 2600 exp, 100 tech, 2000 gold. If you use charm you'll get a speed tab.
Now that that's done, go back up top. Go into Fiona's house with Robo in your party and talk to her. Robo will ask if he can stay behind and help the forest grow. Say yes, then go to 1000 ad.
1000ad
Go to the southern continent. You'll first notice that it's not desert anymore. It's a huge forest! Now go to the shrine in the middle of the forest. Robo will be broken insed. You'll turn him back on. He says that they should celebrate their reunion.
You'll be in a forest, and everyone begins talking about who's making the gates. Then after they all fall asleep, Lucca will get up. Go to the right of the screen and out of the area you're in. There will ba a gate in the next screen. Go inside. You'll be in Lucca's room. Go downstairs, and you'll see Lucca's mother cleaning a big machine with a little girl next to her. Lucca's mother will get her skirt caught, and the machine will start. Go to the side of the machine where it asks for a password (should be around the bottom part, as far down on the machine as you can go), and put in "L" "A" "R" "A", which just happens to be her name. The machine should stop, and you've saved Lucca's mother from being crippled. When you come back, Robo will give you a green dream, which revives you once in battle. Now Lucca's mother isn't crippled anymore.
Helping the Mayor of Porre, and getting the Sun Stone
Be sure to equip fire protection on your characters for this one. Red Mails and Red vests are best here. You should also get some Ruby Armors from Ioka village. Now you're ready.
2300 ad
Take epoch and fly to the sun palace. It's in the bottom left corner of the map. Magus is nice to have in your party, if he has the Black Hole tech. If not, don't bother. Go inside, and you'll be attacked by the Son of Sun.
Son of Sun
This guy's not too bad. If you have Magus, the first thing you should do is use Black hole to take away two of the fire things around the Son of Sun. He'll use an attack that makes the rest of them spin around and get all mixed up. HAve your character with either a red mail or really strong magic defense use a level two basic magic attack, like Ice 2, or Lightning 2. All of the enemies will counterattack. The main head will use flare, so you might need to heal after that, then the rest of the fires will counterattack the character. All but one, of course. Attack that one with a normal weapon attack, and it will, in turn, cause damage to the Son of Sun. Approximately 215 hp of damage, no matter what you do to the fire. He'll use roulette again soon, so hurry and get as many hits into the fire before they spin and mix up. Then use the level two attack again, and start the process over until you beat it. The son of sun has about 2100hp. You'll get 3800 exp, 40 tech, 2000 gold, and you'll get a black mail if you use charm.
After you beat him, you'll recieve the moon stone. Now go to 65 million bc.
65 million bc
Put the moon stone in the cave at the top right of the map. They'll say something about this being the sun's favorite spot. now head back to the future.
2300 ad
Go into the cave here (the same one you were in before, only in the future) and you'll find that the moon stone's gone. I'll save you a step and tell you where it went. It's been stolen by the mayor of Porre. Don't even bother going to ask him to give it back at this point, because he won't. You have to do something to his past, first.
1000 ad.
Go to the snail stop and buy some jerky for 9,000 g. You should have more than enough money by now.
600 ad
Go to the mayor's house in the past, and talk to the woman. She'll ask if you'd let her buy the jerky. Give it to her instead. This will make her decide to teach her children the value of sharing. Now return to the present.
1000 ad
Go to the mayor of Porre and talk to him. He'll give you the Moon stone back, saying that someone left it at his doorstep. Take it back to the cave and put it back. Now return to the future.
2300 ad
Have Lucca in your party and retrieve the charged up sun stone. she'll turn it into a gun, and her father will give you something too. You're all done here.
Helping King Guardia XXXIII (33) and the new Chancellor
600 ad
Talk to Toma in the choras cafe. It should be on a new continent that you couldn't reach before without the epoch. He'll give you some soda pop (i guess) and tell you to pour it on his grave (how morbid). Go to the present.
1000 ad
Go to the area where the choras cafe was. You'll see that there's a small grey thing on a cape nearby. Go up to it. You'll see that it's a grave. Pour Toma's Pop on it, and toma will tell you where to find the rainbow shell in the past.
600 ad
Go inside. Look familiar? It's the Tyrano Lair, resurfaced. All that was red is now green, and some parts are only dirt and ground now, but it is the Tyrano lair. Go around in it, and be sure to charm the fossil apes, because they give you megaelixers. Save those for your battle with Lavos. They really help. Thre's a room in there where, if you press a button, two of them will fall down. If you want a bunch of them, keep going into that room and pressing that button. It's a neverending supply of fossil apes with megaelixers. Anyway, work your way through there, (there's a treasure box in there somewhere that's camoflauged, and there's a blue rock inside), and you'll come to the dungeon where they kept Kino in the past, only there's a great big hole in the back of it. Go back there with some fire defense on, and you'll run into the Rust Tyrano.
Rust Tyrano
He's baaaaack... the same as before, only a bit stronger this time. He's got 25,000 hp, so be ready for a long battle. Be sure to have gooood fire defense, and just fight him like you fought him the first time. He's not very hard, but he has a lot of hp. When you beat him, you get 3800 exp, 40 tech, and 2000 gold. If you use charm, you get a red mail.
Go farther back in the cave to find the rainbow shell. They'll say that they should ask for help from the king to get this thing out of the cave, so when you start to leave, the screen fades out.
You end up in the palace, and the king says that he'll keep the shell safe for 400 years for you, although he doesn't know why. Now go to the present.
1000 ad.
Go into the palace, with Marle in your party, and the chancellor will tell marle of how her father indirectly killed her mother. She'll get mad. You'll have to go to the trial room to find her father. When you get there, the guards won't let you in. Marle yells at them and they let you in. You see that the king is on trial, and he says that he's being framed. You are escorted out, and the guards will not let you back in. You realize that you'll have to find the rainbow shell in order to clear his name, so you go to the basement. There are monsters all over the place, but they're the same as the ones you fought in the cathedral. I mean exactly the same. Same hp and defense. They shouldn't be a problem. You head to the back, and find the rainbow shell. They take a piece off of it, and you have to hurry back up to the trial room before her father is convicted (don't worry, I think you'll make it there no matter what you do). You go back to the guards, who still won't let you in. Marle says she knows another way. You are then in the court room, and we see marle jumping through the glass. She lets the others in, and shows everyone the shard from the rainbow shell. Everyone leaves, and the chancellor becomes Yakra XIII (13).
Yakra XIII (13)
This guy's not too tough. He's a lot like the first one you fought, only he uses chaos more. Anyway, you're fine if you just keep using your best attacks on the guy until he croaks. Beware the needle 13 attack that he does, though, it's very powerful. Heal right afterwards, and he also does his earthquake, that you should heal after too. He has 18000 hp. When you beat him, you'll get 3500 exp, 40 tech, 2000 gold, and a MegaElixir. If you charm him, you'll get a white mail.
Now marle and her father will make up, and become fatherly/daughterly again (awww), andyou'll find yourself in the throne room. Head back up to the trial room, and something will be sparkling on the floor. Pick it up, and it's a key. There's a chest somewhere on the way up there (i think) and inside is the chancellor. Now go back to the basement, where the rainbow shell is. You'll see Melchior. He'll make you a Rainbow Sword, a prism specs, and either a prism dress (worn only by girls, it raises magic defence a lot) or three prism helms (locks status and ups magic defense). After that, you're done.
Helping Cyrus
Ok, here's Frog's part of your little journey. This one gets annoying, but in the end, you get Frog's strongest sword, the Masamune 2, so I guess it's worth it.
600 ad
Head into the Choras cafe. Talk to the guy who says he's lost his tools. Now go to the present.
1000 ad
Go into the choras cafe, and talk to the guy again. He says he'll lend you his tools. Go to his house, and talk to his wife. She'll be the one complaining about her husband. She'll get the tools for you. Head back to the past.
600 ad
Give the man the tools. He'll head back home. Go into the northern ruins and beat all the monsters in the basement. All of them, otherwise, he'll come back and charge you money just to come back and fix it. Now go and ask the guy to fix the ruins. He'll fix them. Head back and he'll say his work's all done here. If he says he can't go where there are monsters, then you missed a couple. Anyway, go to the basement and have him put cyrus's soul to rest, so you can get the masamune 2. There are also some treasure chests around the basement. When it asks whether you'll leave them, leave them, then get the charged up versions in the present, then you can come back to the past and get the original versions. Other than that, you're done.
"Helping" Ozzie, Flea, and Slash
Yeah, you're not done with them. Go to where medina village would be, and look for a weird looking castle thingie. Go inside (it's more interesting if you have magus) and you'll see Ozzie. Follow him through. You'll eventually run into Flea Plus and Super Slash.
Flea Plus
He's not really too hard. Actually, he's even easier than the first time you met him. Just hit him with your favorite stuff. Flea Plus has 3000 hp. when you beat her, you get 2000 exp, 20 tech, and 2000 gold.
Super Slash
Same case with this bozo. Just hit him with your favorite techs and attacks and you'll do fine. He has 2500 hp. When you beat him, you get 2000 exp, 20 tech, and 2000 gold.
Continue through (there's a room in there somewhere, might have been before or between those two, where Ozzie tells you to get the treasure, and there's an axe chopping down. walk past it, and an imp will try to get the treasure, and Ozzie will leave. You can get it now. Also, go to the right wall and walk down. You'll enter a secret room with good weapons and equipment for Magus). You'll eventually run into Great Ozzie, Super Slash, and Flea Plus.
Great Ozzie, Super Slash, and Flea Plus
Try to have Ayla with you for this battle, because you can steal their weapons, and they're not too bad to have. Concentrate on killing Great Ozzie, because when he dies, the other two die with him. But be careful, because he'll conuterattack every time you hit him, and they're pretty nasty. It's a good idea to have someone who can heal the whole party for a lot of hp. The Great Ozzie has 6000 hp, Flea Plus has 4000 hp, and Super Slash has 4000 hp. For defeating Slash and Ozzie, or Flea and Ozzie, you get 5000 exp, 50 tech, 3000 gold. For defeating them all, you get 7500 exp, 80 tech, 4000 gold. If you use char on them, you get the Ozzie Pants, the Slasher 2, and the Flea Vest.
Ozzie will go upstairs. Follow him. It's the old, press the switch routine. This time, though, you hit the wrong switch and fall. Go back up, and you'll begin to fight Ozzie. Then, a cat will come in, and press the right switch, which kills ozzie. Now, the Medina of the future is happy. Now you're done.
Helping the people of the future
2300 ad
Ok. Now you have to find the other factory in 2300 ad. Robo will ask to lead your party. Now you can go through the factory. You'll have to get two poyozo dolls in order to get to the main boss in here. One of them is guarded by a robot that won't let you pass. There is another robot in a room around there that will follow you. Let him follow you until you get to this robot, then they will both short circuit, allowing you to reach the poyozo doll. The other one can be reached by pressing the three switches nearby in a certain order. I think it's pressing the outer two, but I could be wrong. Just experiment. There aren't that many combinations. If Robo's levels aren't very high, go back through the dust chute, to get to the first room you were in, and fight the robots that appear on the conveyor belt again. It gains you a lot of exp.Anyway, now find your way to the upper floor. Robo will meet Atropos XR, apparently an old acquaintence. She's been tampered with, and now Robo has to fight her.
Atropos XR
Ok. Make sure that Robo's magic is pretty strong, because atropos has the same attacks as he does, and it's one-on-one. Shock and area bomb work well on her. She will use rocket punch and area bomb mostly, sometimes using heal beam on herself. She has 6000 hp. When you win, you get absolutely nothing, but after she dies, she gives Robo her Ribbon, which raises Robo's stats a lot.
After that sad encounter, it's time to fight the mother brain. Head to a room with a big gate, and two places to put your poyozo dolls. Set them down and the gate opens. Make your way up to the Mother Brain.
Mother Brain
This one can be tough. She's surrounded by computer screens. You should kill all of them but one, because they will heal her for about 1000 hp each. Make sure not to destroy all of them, though, or she'll use her strongest attacks on you. If you keep one alive, she won't use her strong attacks. Hit her with your best attacks that don't damage the entire screen, because the displays only have 1 hp each, making them too easy to kill. The Mother brain has 5000 hp. For defeating them, you'll get 3000 exp, 40 tech, and 3000 gold, the terra arm and the crisis arm. If you use charm on them, you'll get a blue mail and elixers.
After this, you can't go back into the factory. Your work here is done.
Helping Queen Zeal
Congrats! You're strong enough and sure enough of yourself to complete the black omen and earn the new game plus. The Black omen is pretty strait forward. You can beat it from any time but 65million bc (because it didn't exist yet), and any time after 1999 ad (because Zeal has already accomplished her goal, and is beyond help) You'll be attacked by the first mutant the minute you walk in.The Mega Mutant.
Mega Mutant
Get rid of him with your best techs. It will use some chaos spells, so have equipment on that locks your status. When you beat either the top or the bottom, the other one dies. The top has 3,850 hp, and the bottom has 4,600 hp. For defeating it, you get 900 exp, 50 tech, 1500 gold. If you use charm, you get an elixir and a vigil hat.
Keep going around the place. The best things to charm in here are the flyclops (for the gold studs), Goons (for nova armors), and ruminators (for megaelixers). It's really good to get enough gold studs for your entire party (including Magus and Crono), because you'll need them when you fight Lavos, and they're nice to have in a new game plus. It's also good to get enough nova armor for your guys, and you really need to stock up on megaelixers, but be careful with the ruminators because they can take away all of your character's hp in one attack (they're the snakes with two heads). You'll eventually run into these bosses: Giga Mutant, Terra Mutant, Lavos Spawn be sure and charm the lavos spawn shell if you have a character in your party that has a good group heal attack, like Robo or Frog.
Giga Mutant
This one's almost exactly like the first one. Hit it with magic, because physical attacks aren't very efective. It will continuously try to steal some of your HP, and it has a Life Shaver attack that reduces the hp of one character to 1. Be sure to have someone that can heal for that much hp in one turn. The top has 5,800 hp, and the bottom has 4,950. For defeating it, you get 1500 exp, 80 tech, 2000 gold. Charm gets you a hit ring and a wall ring.
Terra Mutant
This is the last mutant. He's not too bad. Don't use magic on the bottom half, because it heals it. The top half has 7,860 hp, and the bottom half has 20000 hp, so concentrate on killing the top half. For defeating this one, you get 2000 exp, 100 tech, 3800 gold, and the satisfaction that you've defeated all three mutants finally. If you use charm, you get a muscle ring and a power seal.
Lavos Spawn
Ok, the last Lavos spawn. This one's a lot tougher than the ones on death peak. Don't hit the shell, or it's counter attack can be somewhat deadly. It's needle attack also causes confusion as well as major damage, and it casts Dark Bomb. The lavos spawn has 10,000 hp. For defeating it, you get 2450 exp, 120 tech, 2500 gold. Charm gets you a safe helm (shell) and a haste helm (the head).
AFter that, it's time for your first encounter with Queen Zeal. I'm not helping you much in this section, am I? It's because the Black omen is very big, but actually pretty easy to figure out. the only problems in it are the bosses, so that's all I'm helping you with. I'll explain how to beat the next three bosses here. Be sure and charm all of them (and all parts of them) because you'll get good equipment for Lavos, and for the new game plus. The bosses are: Queen Zeal (first encounter), Mammon Machine, and Queen Zeal (Final encounter).
Queen Zeal (first encounter)
She can be annoying in this battle. She has a hallation move that lowers all of your characters's hp to 1. Supposedly, she can't kill you, but there have been people saying that she has before, so have someone in your party hat can heal for some hp on at least one character after she uses hallation. Try to have Ayla or frog, because they can use Frog Squash/Dino Tail, which is strongest when your HP is at 1. Zeal has 12,000 hp. For defeating her, you get one MegaElixer.
Mammon Machine
For this one, it's good to have Frog with the Masamune 2, because it weakens the Mammon machine. When you first start this battle, you'd better use that MegaElixer you got from Queen Zeal. Physical attacks raise it's defense, while Magic attacks raise it's attack, so his it with your best Magic, like Shock, Luminaire, Flare, Dark Matter, etc. When it starts saying that it's standing still, that means you're winning. Just keep pummeling it with your best magic. It has 18,000 hp. for defeating it, you get nothing, but if you charm it you get a megaelixer.
Queen Zeal (final encounter)
Ok, time to get rid of this pathetic excuse of a Queen. She has a head, and two hands. Concentrate on beating the head, because the arms can do some really nasty counterattacks. They'll either take that person's HP to 1, or MP to 0. She's also got some really bad regular magic attacks that can do some heavy damage too, if you don't have good Magic Defense. Her water attack (Hexagon Mist) is extremely powerful, so watch out for it. She's also used her Hallation attack a couple of times in the past, so be prepared for that, too. She has 20,000 hp. For defeating her, you get nothing. Charm on her hands gets you a Prism Dress and a Prism helm (so that's actually kind of worth the counterattack, huh? Just be sure to have an elixir/megaelixer).
Ok, you've done everything else that you possibly can in this game, so it's time to go after the final boss, Lavos. Lavos has three forms: the shell, the outer core, and the inner core.
Lavos Shell
Okay. The first of the final three battles. After you finish this one, you can save and leave, and go level up some more if you don't think you're ready, or stock up on megalixers. Anyway, unless you either fight him in Zeal (in the ocean palace), or you crash into him with Epoch, this guy will change "battle modes," and fight like different bosses in the game. They all have the same attacks, defense, weaknesses, and HP, so just beat them like you did the first one. He will "become" the:
Dragon Tank
Guardian and Bits
Heckran
Zombor
Masa&Mune (the second form)
Nizbel
Magus
Azala & the Black Tyrano
Giga Gaia
After those battles, Lavos will become his true form. If you fight him in the Ocean palace, his attacks will be much stronger (considering that you're SUPPOSED to loose there, but you don't have to). Also, if you crash into him with the Epoch, you won't have to fight him at all. The endings are better if you don't, though, just to mention. Anyway, just hit him with your best attacks on his final form. He's not too bad, with 10,000 hp. Try Luminaira, Flare, Shock, Dark Matter, Ice Sword 2, etc. Only your best attacks, but save your megalixers if you can, for the final form.
Outer Core
This guy's not so tough either. If you want to, you can save, and warp out before you fight him, and level up, or get better equipment or items. Anyway, when you go to fight him, make sure that the last two characters in your party are Lucca and Robo (in that order), because the last form of Lavos is weak against the Double v. bomb, and you have to have Robo in the right spot to use it, also, you can't change characters or anything after beating the outer core, so now's the time to prepare. Try to have them equipped with gold studs, to save MP. This guy has three parts. Two arms, and a main body. Go for the right arm first, because if the left arm goes first, then the right arm will do a spell that gets rid of all defenses on one character. Very bad. Anyway, after the main body casts obstacle, it's defense will decrease A LOT, so this is the time to attack. Keep using your strongest attacks, and heal with robo (or any other character you have) when you need it. Save your megalixers, if you can. The left arm has between 7000 and 8500 hp, and the right arm has between 8500 and 10000 hp. The central body has 20000 hp. For winning, you get nothing.
Inner Core
Congratulations. You've made it to the final boss of Chrono Trigger. This guy has three parts, also. Two bits, and a core. Don't be fooled by the large guy in the middle. He is not the core. The core is the bit near Robo (who should be on the far right). Use your strongest magic attacks and kill the center bit. Soon after he is gone, the core (the right bit) will shut off it's defense. Keep using the double V. bomb on it. You'll notice that it does A LOT of damage to the core. Keep doing this, and attacking/healing with your party leader. Eventually, the center bit will come back. You can have your leader concentrate on killing it again, but have Robo and Lucca keep hitting the core until it turns it's defense back on. Then repeat the entire process over again from the beginning until you destroy the core, which will destroy the other two bits, also. Now jump up and down and scream and holler, because you've just beat the game!
