Marriage?

So you still want to marry? Maybe you seek a good thing; indeed Socrates assures us that we do when we want to marry. Come to think of it Solomon said so too. What kind of woman should you go for? Well, Solomon told his sons to get a, 'loving doe' It's hard to give better advice than that. At the time Solomon was in the middle of telling his sons of the dangers of women who already had husbands and who had sex with other men. He said don't spend your years on a woman who is cruel and that's 100% right- if you must get married then find a nice little girl who is loving and who wants to be loved. That's about as perfect as relationships between men and women get. It's actually pretty nice too; contented. There's a sweetness that comes with a nice girl that can NEVER be found anywhere else. Certainly not with a cruel woman. Don't think that men are strong enough to handle such things, we can't. As S says, can you scoop hot embers into you lap without being burned? Well of course we cant.

How do we find a loving doe? what are her characteristics? Well, with this being about 3000 years since Solomon said those things then it may help to have some stuff translated into modern day terminology. Firstly get a woman who is willing to work; that will show her willingness to put in the necessary effort. Though come to think of it Solomon's mum did advise that 3000 years ago. One more thing, you will have a choice of getting a woman for looks or for her other qualities; DO get a nice girl. That is supposing we're talking about healthy women, then DON'T spend effort thinking about much else physical. A nice girl takes much more time to make sure that what's inside is right. Also, don't waste any time on women who try to beguile with their looks- they have little to offer and no wise man would touch them with a long pole. It's impossible to take looks out of the equation but really a sweet girl has a sparkle in her eyes- beautiful looks- that a beguiling woman will never understand nor have. That kind of sparkle IS more physically-attractive than anything else that woman has to offer. EVERY man submits to his wife/girlfriend; it's a LOT sweeter to submit to a nice girl than a horrible one. Again, just get a loving doe; contentedness NEVER comes with a cruel woman. As Solomon told his sons- many are the men who she has slain. No doubt in the original tongue these messages were delivered with the most perfect poetry and therefore to the biggest emotional effect but the message is still clear in translation.

If she wants children then that's a different matter. So many millions of her sisters have abused men and stolen their children; so if she wants children then she has a lot to do to prove that she's worthy. The majority of women aren't and so she has an uphill struggle.
