oppression of men. To fully embrace a healthy gender
movement, with balance and truthfulness, we need to look at
all four avenues of men's and women's oppression. We will not
move down the road to recovery until we can see the oppression
of others for what it really is, and at the same time face our
own human desire to oppress. Oppression attacks in all forms,
and has no gender, race or creed. Along my journey I have
discovered that in the absence of others that oppress me, I
oppress myself. Change begins in us, and to fight for our
freedom, first we need knowledge of how oppression is allowed
in the back door. It is then that we can move forward until
we are capable of giving others and ourselves the freedom to
be.
