Before Dawn Staley runs the floor, she wants additional ankle support. And when trainers tape ankles, they use a figure-eight wrap. So Nike incorporated straps that mimic the ankle support of a good taping job.

Upper: Full-grain leather, heel and ankle support straps.
Midsole: Full-length Phylon adds lightweight cushioning.>
Outsole: Solid rubber with Optimal Motion forefoot flex grooves.
Shank: TPU midfoot shank adds torsional rigidity for correct foot flex.
Cushioning: A Zoom Air unit in the forefoot and an Air-sole unit in the heel.
