What is Centrex?

Centrex is a virtual EPABX offered by BSNL. It allows members of a Group to free unlimited access among the Group members using a three digit short code.  The Telephone will function as a regular phone as per the plans and options you have opted for.

SHREYAS TECHSERVICES offers a wide range of Consulting and Network solutions which are cost effective.  In CENTREX, the DEL of SHREYAS TECHSERVICES will act as a Group Leader and co-ordinate with BSNL on CENTREX facilities ONLY to members of the group.

BILLING CYCLE

Irrespective of the Billing Cycle maintained by BSNL, we generate Bills FOUR times a year for every Quarter. The Q’s are AMJ, JAS, OND, JFM of every Financial year. The Bills has to be settled before 10th of April, July, October, January. Since the quantum of Bill is fixed at Rs. 450 per DEL, no reminders will be sent.  In the absence of realization of payment before the due date, the unpaid DEL will be removed from the CENTREX on 25th of the same month without any intimation. The one month Advance deposited will be adjusted towards the one month due and the CLOSURE statement will be issued.  No communication will be entertained in this regard.  The same will apply to Cheque returned for any reason and no intimation will be provided.  We will introduce Electronic Fund Transfer Facility which can be programmed by you. We currently offer Electronic Fund Transfer with Citibank, ICICI & Indian Bank (if & when their ECOM becomes active)

HOW IS COSTING DONE AT SUCH A LOW PRICE?

It is our philosophy to have a simple infrastructure and our policy of making the use of technology at very affordable prices.  The services are provided by BSNL, India’s largest Telecom Company, and the credit shall be due for them for these facilities.  This company will strive to provide the best services on non-commercial basis.  The pricing is done with optimizing the cost at all stages and no overheads is charged.  All our reports and transactions will be NET based; Users requiring Printed Data shall be billed @ Rs. 5 per page of Report and Rs. 10 towards postage expenses, so that the cost of one client is not passed on to other client.  However, there may be minor revision to our cost if the input costs are altered which are beyond our control.  However, if there is a change in BSNL policy, it will be reflected directly and suitable intimation will be provided.

What is the time frame for getting the Centrex?

The addition of your DEL to this Group is done  as follows:
Your application is checked at our office and forwarded with our letter to DE of your DEL exchange.  The Commercial Officer and the Accounts Officer will check the application in all aspects (including the specimen signature) and if it is found OK, send it to the Technical team for feasibility study under the exchange. There may be instances that your DEL cannot be connected to the City Centrex for technical reasons; in which case the application will be rejected. At times, not all DELs requested by you can be connected, in which case, we need to come back to you for clarification.  We try our best to sort the technical issues locally.  At times, the facility may be technically feasible but cannot be provided to Policy Guidelines of BSNL.  We will try to provide alternate solution by asking you to apply for a second line or suggestion of different technology available with BSNL. Under normal circumstances, the Centrex will be made available within 10 days.

Whom do I contact if I face problem with Centrex?

Can I block Centrex members calling me?

You can block all calls from the CENTREX.  You need to write to the concerned official of the CENTREX.  You cannot lock the facility by yourself.

Can I detach myself from the Centrex Group?

Yes. You can detach your DEL from the Centrex by sending a written communication to the Group Leader.

Can I join again in the Group with you again? 

It will be option of the Group Leader to decide.  The Group Leader may look into your case, and if need be, provide you a different tariff.  If the Group Leader declines, it is not possible for you to become a member of the group.  The decision of the Group Leader is final.  As it is a non-commercial transaction, you do have a right to be a member of the group. You may have a different group of your own. The Group Leader is a facilitator and the provision of adding / deleting any user without assigning any reason is the privilege of the Group Leader

I am already a member of different Centrex. I also want to be a member of your Group. How do I go about?

No. You cannot be a member in two Groups. It is forbidden.

However, we may provide you some solutions; if you own two or lines, you can become a member in two groups and integrate it with your own EPABX on conferencing mode.  It may sometimes cause problems as the Centrex numbers of the different groups may be same.  You need very careful implementation of the EPABX programming and select appropriate make and model.  You will need to spend on your EPABX equipment.

What if I default my Telephone Bills?
What if I default my Centrex charges alone?
 

If you default on your telephone bill, the department will initiate necessary action.  You need to pay the Centrex charges. If you do not pay the Bill and disconnection has taken place, it is natural that your Centrex will also be terminated.  The advance paid and any unused period of the Centrex will lapse.  In case you restore the line, the provision of Centrex shall be at the sole discretion of the Group Leader and you may be charged differently. If you default on Centrex charges, you will be removed from the Group.

What is local Centrex?

Local Centrex is a facility that is offered in selective exchanges where all the members fall under the same MSU.  There will no number change.

What is CITY Centrex?

CITY CENTREX is a facility that is offered when members are located in different levels of BSNL Chennai Telephone Exchanges. On accepting your letter for City Centrex, your number will be changed to a different level “2345xxxx”.  In fact all the members of the City Centrex will have to undergo the number change.  We offer only CITY CENTREX.

Will my Telephone number change?

What happens to calls on my old number? 

Answering machine service will announce the change of your number for a period of 2 to 3 months. This will be done by BSNL.

CITY CENTREX is not available without change of number. Alternate plans will be suggested. (like getting additional BFONE or FWT or Tarang)

What is the cost?

The application cost is Rs. 100 non-refundable. Recurring cost per quarter is Rs. 450 payable in advance and a Caution Deposit is Rs 150.  When you make the application, you need to send your payment of Rs. 700 and the application will be processed on realization of the instrument. If your application is successful, you will be provided with centrex facility, If your application is not accepted for whatever reasons, Rs 600 will be refunded to you ONLY by BANK CHEQUE.

What alternate plans are available?

BSNL will provide alternate plans including 2nd BFONE, WLL FWT, WLL Tarang etc on the Centrex.  These are subject to technical and policy matters of BSNL.  Details can be obtained from concerned officials of BSNL.
