    -Other information- Alan Armstrong, a pilot and playboy, was the confidant of Admiral Corby, and was engaged to his daughter, and sometimes partner, Eve. Whenever Admiral Corby received word of spy operations, he called on Alan who became Spy Smasher who battled the enemies of America with his fists and multi-function Gyrosub, which could operate in the sea as well as the air. After the war (Whiz #76), he became Crime Smasher.
