One quick, but important, note before we begin this month. It's strangely appropriate that this issue with Captain Battle, and Spotlight #11 with Fighting Yank have been delayed enough to coincide with the war in Iraq. The Golden Years offers it's support and thanks to those in our military, Great Britain's, Australia's, and any other troops involved. A particular thanks to the parents of these soldiers for raising such fine young men and women who are willing to risk their lives for our freedom, as well as the freedom of the citizens of Iraq who have been trapped under Saddam Hussein’s oppressive regime for the past 20+ years. You are the true heroes.

When he was again wounded, his son, William, filled in as Captain Battle Jr. unknown to his father. When John returned, he found what William had been doing and took him on as one of his assistants. Yellowjacket     -Story taken from Yellowjacket Comics #4  Frank Communale Publishing Co. December 1944      -Writer- Unknown      -Penciler- Unknown      -Inker- Unknown     -A.K.A.- Vince Harley     -Known Powers- Ability to command bees.     -Other Information: A crime writer, Vince Harley was looking for imformation on the perfect crime when he accidently gets mixed up in a bank robbery. The crooks try to tip a carton of bees on him, but he turns out to be a rare person who can't be stung. He learns to command the insects, and assumes the identy of Yellowjacket.     -Known Appearances- TNT Comics 1; Yellowjacket Comics 1-10

Daredevil and the Little Wise Guys     -Story taken from Daredevil Comics #38 Daredevil Publishers Inc. September 1946      -Writer- Charles Biro      -Penciler- Norman Maurer      -Inker- Norman Maurer     -A.K.A.- Bart Hill/Scarecrow, Jock, Curly, and Pee-Wee     -Known Powers- None.     -Other Information: Orphaned as a baby by his scheming uncle, young Bart Hill is raised in the Australian Outback by a tribe of Aborigines. While still just a boy, Bart becomes the leader of the tribe, and eventually learns of his past.
