Hi there, and welcome to the twenty-third issue of All-Amazing Comics! If you wish to donate a story(s) to this book please e-mail me at the address below.

Now for a letter on All-Amazing #22 all those many months ago. For obvious reasons, there won't be any more letters until All-Amazing #29 in January.

Decent issue, Steve.

I enjoyed the Spider story, especially as this is the first time I've seen Chuck do anything besides stand around, and I'll admit that I didn't know the Spider had any villains with whom he had more than one encounter (assuming the Golden Scorpion, if I have the name right) came back for a few more appearances.

I was glad to see the origin story for the last version of Briefer's 'Frankenstein' and I rather hope that version of the character might make a future appearance or two, although we might have to wait another year for some of the truly bizarre stories from that series to fall into public domain.

Master Key is an interesting character and I realize now that I had him confused with 'The Key' a character who I have seen once before and who made little if any sense. Master Key's use of x-ray vision is interesting but almost seems out of place in what would have otherwise been a more or less straight detective feature. Master Key is another character who I would not mind seeing again mostly because appearances by those characters used by Chesler don't show up very often. Silver Knight was something a surprise and a nice change of pace from the costumed crowd, but I can't say I was overly impressed by the character.

I'm hoping that Professor Bails might eventually take a more active
role with the various golden age publications, but its something of a
thrill to know that he's still active with fandom and is putting his
vast knowledge of the golden age to use.

Thanks,
Jon

First off, I'm sorry to say that my busy period allowed my communications with Jerry to wane other than posts on the GCD Chat list, so I'll have to see if he's still willing to help with this site. As for the rest of your comments:

1)I only have one other Spider story, and I haven't read it yet, so I can't tell you if Golden Scorpion returns.

2)I have more of that version of Frankenstein, so he will return! Now, if I could only get more of the cartoon version...

3)I'm afraid I don't have any more Master Key stories right now, but I'll keep my eye out...

This month I'm showcasing my first silver age issue of Batman! The sad thing is, I just got it a few months ago. Now how could that have happened with as many gold and silver age books as I own?
